The only one who could beat the opposition was the starter klint come up to worky and see proper speedway!
-
He did say Phil Morris was still in post as Premiership CEO though... there's been neither sight nor sound from him since the start of the season 🤷♂️
-
Great news, re the new people are they speedway related or stadium related as it seems they are providing the financial muscle for things to carry on. There's not many people who are willing to drop six figures regularly on speedway these days (outside of the usual suspect) so my gut feeling is they must be coming in to take a stake in the stadium and help clear the debts ? Would be interested to hear what anyone closer to the situation has to add to it all but great news whatever the actual set up will be moving forward and does this mean that the mooted massive rent increase if speedway carried on alone won't now happen ?

Foxes to crash out of the cup... Is it too late to re-brand Northampton Lambs?
-
Edinburgh probably happy to put the date back with Dan T injured. Tough tie for Oxford, but a fully fit Riss being available, would make a big difference.
-
Missing again on Friday, are we back to the usual Houdini Cook picking and choosing when he wants to ride? Been no real news on this ‘rotator cuff’ injury which has me a bit suspicious especially the way James talked about his absence over last weekend in interviews

Was a strange comment about the tears. Never saw any, he was angry with himself which I think might be his biggest downfall.
-
What a stupid comment. Funny how riders can't be beaten by better opposition. Always easier to blame the track. One team adapted and one didn't end of story.
-
It was only Klindt who gated and went!! Fast times all round.
-
Sometimes weather dictates as does the opposition, it was a very one sided contest as born out by the score.Klindt was terrific no one else turned up. Allen was his normal self at Wimborne Road, the rest were awful. Lawson did not gate in one race but had little trouble passing both bears before the 3rd bend. Ace was his usual self moaning about his fall, never his fault.

Patryk Dudek not too impressed with Phil's track preparation, in the Speedway Star.. "We spoke to Phil Morris before the event to make sure he was careful about watering. The track is so loose and the hosts added some shale to it. It was a complete disaster. We fought throughout the race to get Phil to stop watering. When he finally did, the track was safer and the final races were actually enjoyable. We were flagging up the issues but we don't have the power to make a difference".. Not just us watching then that have the same opinion..?.. A good article from Peter Oakes too, re Northampton and the NKI coverage issue... He certainly has become more challenging of those in charge more recently, (in a constructive way).... He must come on here....

Can we expect to see more tears if Bowes is reading this?……lol

Saddened to hear about the passing of your Dad. I didn't know him personally and often wondered he was because of his many posts. I certainly wondered what had happened to "Jenga' when his posts disappeared but soon came to realise he had reinvented himself as j20hh , the writing style was unmistakeable 😃. Sorry to see another Comets fan has gone to the speedway track in the sky and no doubt he will be keeping his eye on the forum !. You really must pay a visit he probably would have wanted you too. RIP 'Jenga'.

Condolences to everyone affected by his passing. He certainly got folk commenting on here…..lol

Berwick fresh from reaching their 2nd semi-final of the season, welcome Scunthorpe as they get their league campaign underway. For the Bandits already with injury problems they use R/R for Peter Kildemand with Dayle Wood guesting for Reid Battye. Scunthorpe have 1 change with Dan Gilkes brought in to replace Simon Lambert, who in the past has ranked Berwick as one of his favourite away tracks. Scunthorpe will be hoping Pickering continues his current form to keep score respectable. Prediction- With bonus points important in reaching a playoff position can see a 56-34 home win.

Last week at worky your team could race on a great track unlike poole gate and go !
-
Any news on craig?
-
Yes I picked up on that, and it might also be the case that they needed the extra points from Gilkes having a lower average than Lambert to make the next change so best not to judge until the next one is announced
