Interesting reminisce there about the revival of West Ham in 1964. Gave me my weekly fix of speedway after the New Cross Rangers closed midway through 1963 in an ill fated attempt to run in the Provincial Leagues (the 2nd tier in those days) Lasted 10 years ish until the huge stadium and grounds succumbed to housing. The economics of running a " 1st Division" speedway sport business in the 21st century in the UK dont stack up.

There is a cracking Stadium in Sunderland which featured Speedway in 1964 and 1971 to 1974. The Stadium is much improved since those days, but as far as I am aware there are no plans to reopen Sunderland Speedway either.

Would go for Pickering and Morris instead of C Holder and brennan and have a stronger reserve

No sadly is confined to the history books, the only place that could possibly host speedway is Nottingham greyhound stadium but as far as I aware there no plans to ever reopen long Eaton
