Pretty satisfied with 40 points after an awful start, Lynn were yards behind going into the first turn and paid the price. Thereafter was better with plenty of encouraging signs, thought Rushen & Scott were on the pace and didn't look out of place, will only get better. But for the EF for Jan and the referee daydreaming at the start of heat 8 it could have been a bit closer. Deserved win for Ipswich though and the Stars have it all to do to grab the bonus on Monday.

Good Team Performance to get the season up and running, Every Rider getting at least a paid win apart from Nicholls but he'll get it right at home eventually imo. King's Lynn have problems already, No member of the tail end scored a point against an opponent until Heat 14. The youngsters will come good but the KL promotion are asking too much too soon imo as they're racing against riders who've got years of experience over them.

April is a funny month, I have been to Good Friday meetings at Lakeside where it has been as high as 30 degrees during the day and conversely another at 4 degrees in the evening.
