  1. Past hour
  2. World Cup result 1st Hannah Grunwald 2nd Celina Liebmann 3rd Anna Hajkiva 4th Tayla Street
  3. Agreed he's never going to be the rider he was 10-15 years ago but the fact he's still going and is more than holding his own (most weeks not all) in the championship is a tribute to him. When I stopped going early 90's very few riders weren't in decline by the time they turned thirty but riders do seem to take better care of themselves these days and go on longer Hancock the ultimate example.
  4. Gold Trophy result (250cc) 1st Demi Blu Harris 12 2nd Ruby Chapman 7 3rd Lenja Tebbe 4 4th Indra Holsten-Bister 1
  5. I've tried to look at it for reference a few times in the morning recently and it's been down altogether, so maybe there is a problem with the platform itself?
  6. Agreed very odd way to run a business and try and build up a fan base.
  7. Thanks for the replies all and keep them coming interesting Daniel said 740 online I would have fell off my chair if he said 74 must be a lot of lurkers.
  8. They have only ever shown the Final. Not lost interest.
  9. Summer only started two weeks ago (well, two weeks tomorrow to be precise).
  10. Premiership green sheets show him still on assessed 3.50, so that would be 3.00 in the Championship wouldn’t it?
  11. Today
  12. It was a lot more light hearted on here before the trolls took over. A lot of my posts back then were to raise a laugh with one post being reprinted in the Oxford programme. You could imagine meeting up with people on here to chat all things speedway but not now. I’ve so many people blocked it makes the conversation jittery but seeing some of their awful posts when quoted just makes me question what their motive is. TBH you shouldn’t need mods, as adults should be able to make a judgment call on what’s right or wrong. Maybe they do and push on for who knows why.
  13. We all know he’s a nasty piece of work even within his own camp. I blocked him when he said fans like it when a member of the opposition gets injured. Probably the worse thing I’ve heard on here in over two decades. Needs banning but with no mods it’s become a breeding ground for trolls. I reckon dealing with him is like dealing with the cartel around the board table and any suggestion of working together is soon given short shrift. Luckily Richard is not like minded with new initiatives such as, Junior discount, Screen and Streaming. More to come no doubt like, Witch mascot, Post meeting press conference, Kids interval engagement & Student discount to name a few. Ace!
  14. It is all a bit strange isn't it?... Quite a large part of following UK Speedway is to not take anything too seriously, and have a bit of a laugh at what is allowed to take place by those who run it... Plus have some banter and pee taking with those fans of a differing persuasion... Very serious some people...
  15. Really liked the 18 formula used in 93(?). Two reserve races helped bringing them on. Would probably be too expensive to run now, and we wouldn’t have enough riders. we really need to get the training track used to develop young local talent. On a related note, the training track looked immaculate last night.
  16. That was my summation too... Poland run a sport with four juniors riding against the Worlds best but also have two nominated races which, usually, puts the top four from each team up against each other again... Maybe their heat structure could be used over here?.. Puts pressure on where it should be too during the meeting, ie on the HL's when they race with a junior against two from the opposition's top five.. Either defending your teams score with a win, or losing points due to losing the heat...
  17. I remember and liked that format, did it last for more than a season? It was probably stopped as I surmise that the riders didn't like it as there weren't so many easy point pickings going... and we all know the sport is run for the riders.
  18. Not just this thread, loves arguing with everyone apparently
  19. Berwick welcome Oxford on League business hoping to extend their unbeaten home form. For the Bandits looking to bounce back from last night's defeat at Redcar, Reid Battye returns as reserve with Jordan Jenkins now a permanent signing moving into the main body of the team. Oxford have a full 1- 7 with Edward Kennett recovered from illness and Mitch McDiarmid available. Can see Berwick winning this 52-38.
  20. He doesn't currently have a Polish team (which may have something to do with his unreliability)
