Mr Blobby replied to eide67's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
When the fixtures get made they wait till the Polish ones are released so clashes donāt happen. Rearranged fixtures canāt be helped, you look for dates so you still have everyone available but doesnāt always happen, otherwise could be riding into December. Folk moan either way you canāt win. -

THE DEAN MACHINE replied to ozzie's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Early days to tell but will she have the respect and be acceptance of the riders ? I was no big fan of Abbie but it was clear she was accepted like a little sister to the riders and had a good rapport with them,no doubt Emma is good looking and has some real stand out assets but watching her last night her rapport with the riders seemed a little fake, like I said early days to tell and obviously she is trying to forge a rapport in a sport she knows very little about, so time will tell but in the meantime she is a welcome bit of eye candy -

I can zone Tatum out when I need to, what's not acceptable is televising a timed qualification event and not show the viewers the on screen times... like you say... the rubbishe we have to put up with! -

Honestly the crap we all put up with in our efforts to watch the sport, it's ridiculous. Tatum waffling on as usual, no substance, just opens his mouth and spouts drivel. Love speedway, hate the coverage. -
I think Emma Jones showed a lot of promise on her debut. Confident and not overwrought with her interviews. Will never perhaps have the insight to ask probing questions but thatās not what she is there for. She is more about capturing the emotion of the momentā¦

Quali on TNT5 now (13:00) if anybody is interested -
Yes, I mean from the point that they took over... but unless you are prepared to travel to Europe you're only going to see our national team ride at home once or twice a year and this year not at all. I'm struggling to understand how this benefits British Speedway, it garner's little to no media interest, they may ride around with Daily Star plastered on their arses but just doing a quick search now on their website and the last Speedway story was about Emma Jones and the one prior to that Linda Lusardi! They'll be shown twice this year on pay-TV if they're lucky and they're just bringing on the youngsters, meaning they often miss British club matches so they can gain international experience and then be poached by Polish clubs leaving us using journeymen guests or rider replacement in their absence!

Danny King is having a good season and is worth consideration if his form continues.
-
If Rob was in charge of the countries finances rather than Reeves he would have the three trillion deficit paid off in a year just don't expect a penny outside an uber tight budget to be spent.

Sadly Iain there seems to have been a lack of interest in solving any of the problems for the last 20 years. UK speedway just doesn't do plan b or c its more lets just wait a couple of months before the start of the season and carry on as is with a few more band aids and try and kick that can a bit further.
