  1. Today
  2. If correct.... Czstochowa cutting cloth accordingly to pay what they owe this year? Would be better swapping with Bydgoszcz and let them put a better team out.. Gorzow too look seriously under the level needed .
  3. Couldn't agree more. It was unbelievable how he found himself in those situations, and how badly it turned out for him. I can certainly understand him "playing it safe", but in a sport like speedway, that can actually make things worse. After the last one. I just pray that it wasn't one too many...
  4. They were also sponsored by national companies, (Newspapers and Tobacco companies for the big ones), which delivered some big appearance money for the top riders, and big prize values.... And for many tracks who held such meetings, it was the only other chance you got apart from the league meeting to see the "superstar" from Belle Vue/Cradley/Coventry/Exeter etc... Newspapers and Tobacco? Both of a different time and showing great decline in the amount of people purchasing those products... Sounds familiar....
  5. Yesterday
  6. Does anybody know if TNT replay the 2nd leg or show highlights, my "recording facility" failed so unfortunately I'm unable to relive the pain 😢
  7. What a night and what a crowd Leicester are a good side and Fricke was exceptional Dickson is a great manager and he showed great respect to us as a crowd applauding us and chatting …. Thought he was a bit harsh saying ‘his reserves’ as Joe sadly is out of his depth didn’t score a point in the semi or the final …. The rage Dickson had for Kemp was apparent and he did well to hold it in I felt… don’t think Kemp will ride for him again He should be Team GB manager instead of that whinging Stead Good final unlucky Leicester you are a great club with a good bunch of fans and I wish you more success But for now …. Up the Witches
  8. To have this support tonight was so special for the lads, it felt hard work at times and deffo you could feel real pressure and nerves in the crowd and riders at times. To have to open the back stand on bend three because of the amount of people is a credit to the fans, the running and promotion of the club and the riders. I don’t know how good the meeting looked on tv, but it felt special to have so many people here tonight and the joy in the riders faces on the centre green celebrating just made the night amazing. Leicester were worthy finalists and on another night could have won it, but something just felt special about tonight, like it was meant to be our night. I hope speedway won tonight and not just Ipswich. We need to build this sport back to bring these crowds back. 2025 you’ve been special! Thanks for all teams who raced us, rivals or not, I hope everyone experiences what I felt tonight 🏆👏🏻 Until next time…
  9. 2nd time he has done this. Started 2023 at Kings Lynn and ended it with a winners medal at Sheffield.
  10. From all accounts the pricing was welll overpriced and completely wrong for Poland , hemce why the Final was empty. Reading the Speedway Star it doesnt sound positive for the Speedway of Nations mobing forward. The format doesn't seem to work with the two semifinals and three qualifying to the final from each Semi final to meet the hosts. . The SWC seems to be the more popular choice BUT whether that guarantees a financial return on Warsaw time will tell.
  11. More likely a bit more shifting of the deckchairs on the SS UK Speedway Titanic & no more. Meanwhile congratulations to the Witches on their worthy Playoff success and to the Lions for their continued fight to the end.
  12. Congratulations to the Ipswich Witches Premiership Champions. Decent effort from the Leicester Lions just come up short over the two legs but the Witches deserved it over the two legs. (Plus they have three former Eastbourne Eagles) Now to see what the AGM brings chaos, carnage and revamp.
  13. Not sure - but you know it was big as they opened the 2nd area of seating on the back straight and that never happens! Too right about Danny chuffed for him, I recall at the beginning of his career his disappointment when Ipswich lost after a run off at Wolves 2005ish? - its taken many years but he has the league winners medal now with Ipswich!! Thats the not won owt since 1998 monkey off their backs - well done - comiserations to Leicester - they could have easily folded after the first leg but this wasn't a formality by any means.
  14. Yes good crowd tonight, Danny King is a top guy and the pictures showed how much it meant to him. Lovely guy and fully deserves all the success that comes his way.
