  1. Past hour
  2. The operative word here is heavy. Poole fans seem to be unable to distinguish between a forecast of light rain and an actual heavy downpour. I assume that most of them are not that stupid (but I might be wrong) , and that they are simply seeking to wind-up Oxford fans.
  3. Now seems Przyjemski rides. He has had a spin in Lublin and is going to give it a go.
  4. Mulford has the third highest Rising Star average currently - he isn't really the problem, but is made to look so by the lack of points elsewhere.
  5. And perhaps that sums up one of British Speedway's biggest challenges - persuading our current fan base to part with entry fees that other sports would see as a bargain. Just as an example, and not in particular to compare to football, Manchester City's ticket prices for this year ( which also vary by category of team / competition) below Adult Category A: £40-£60 Category B: £35 - £55 Category -C £30 - £50 And Manchester United Ticket categories are listed below: - Cat D £32 - £52 (cup fixtures only) - Cat -C £37 - £60 (2 x PL fixtures) - Cat B: £57 - £86 (11 x PL fixtures) - Cat A: £59 - £97 (6 x PL fixtures) Less than 1% of tickets will be priced at highest Cat A price point of £97.
  6. Dear me, I accept that I'm tight and have difficulty parting with my hard earned...but twenty seven English pounds to stand on a terrace and watch a British speedway meeting? Mental.
  7. They aren’t useless but Zischke and Mulford not really up to it at this level For me Blodorn is your biggest disappointment
  8. Today
  9. Have we moved it to Oxford so more Poole fans can attend or watch the stream?
  10. Don’t be so sure about that, the Poole haters will give it a good go.IMO🤔😂
  11. Glasgow v Poole now rearranged for Tuesday 23rd September at 7.30pm.
  12. Maybe there should be cut-off dates for the completion of all KO Cup/BSN etc rounds/Semi Finals/Finals. Then it might solve the problem?
  13. 1981 is a lifetime ago when we had limited entertainment options. That is not the case anymore. Speedway fans don't travel. I think I am one of the few exceptions, but I don't fit the average speedway fan demographic. When I have attended Birmingham, Oxford or Leicester during the last two seasons I have seen very few Wolves or Coventry fans. Looking around maybe Leicester does the best out of the three venues I mentioned with maybe 20ish a meeting. If speedway fans travelled then their would be greater support at away tracks rather than a hardcore 5-30 away fans at league meetings.
  14. Yes I even thought he may sign for Ipswich this season, he hasn't had great meetings for Poole sometimes but he always seems to find a bit extra at play off time so beware he may be on fire tomorrow!
  15. And I believe the car park price too
  16. 80mile round trip hmm. In 1981 when Berwick had no home track we had to make to begin with a 340 mile round trip to Barrow, 240 mile round trip to Workington, and a 200 mile round trip to Glasgow for our home meetings. Even now a large percentage of our fans can make a 50 - 120mile round trip for our home meetings.
  17. Bet this thread doesn't go into meltdown like the Poole one
  18. only problem I have, is that Redcar finished their maxicab and bsn quarter finals in May and have had to wait for other teams to delay their matches until august,Why?????
