  1. Past hour
  2. Did I dream it or did Sheffield get a facility for Jack Holder for family reasons earlier in the season?
  3. Is it time they split out the U21s from the whole SGP/SGP2 structure and replace the SGP2 with something more akin to the SEC? SGP2 then becomes a place where your Huckenbecks, Kvechs, etc. ride. Maybe they can offer a full SGP spot for the winner/top 3 (balanced out by a relegation spot(s) from the SGP). This way, we can find out how good a rider is amongst what would theoretically be the top 16-30 in the world. It also offers a nice route for the likes of Parnitskyi, Przyjemski, etc. to experience a season-long competition without being dumped into the GPs. They could even have it on a Friday night before a GP, offering something meaningful and competitive for fans to make a weekend of it.
  4. Well it’s good to see the Buxton name back, whatever their nickname is 👍 I’ll have to make a point of travelling to the Peak District next summer to take in a meeting (with my coat!).

  6. Yes, but don’t Poole get special treatment?🤨
  7. I fancy Ipswich overall but Leicester won't roll over like they did last season. Ipswich just have so much depth and quality all over it's hard to look past them over two legs
  8. heres a weird one, the clubs provide and maintain standard bikes, riders just turn up and ride them. they then control the costs of maintain equipment and riders get paid a lot less.
  9. Buxton Bosoms. Just in case it all goes ti*s up
  10. Watched the match last week he was brilliant .Past both Lebedevs and Vaculik.Very aware of what’s going on the the races for being so young.
  11. I would go as far as saying he single handedly kept Bydgoszcz in with a fighting chance! I’m in Gorzow now staying with the family and going to the Sunday match so it will be interesting to see him live!
  12. It’s Buxton hitmen and if you’re using the high name it’s high edge not high peak
  13. Born 21.09.09 Made his debut for Bydgoszcz last week beating Lebedevs and Vaculik in his paid 11.
  14. What time is the 1st race 2night, not fussed about watching all t pre match build up.
  15. Today
  16. A bit strange as the reason he withdrew from the Blue Riband was because he couldn't get his bikes down to Poole!!
  17. Hitmen is a wonderful, completely original nickname that should be kept. Wouldn't it be better for any MDL team running out of Buxton to be called the Bulls or even better - Buxton Shotguns?!

  19. Light blue touch paper and stand back lol. 21 heats- top team to Grand final( heat 23) Heat 22 2nd and 3rd in standings- winners in Grand final.
  20. Compassionate leave is not allowed either. That's what Oxford asked for Jacob Clouting. Story here: PREVIEW: Key battle for Chargers in Scotland – OXFORD SPEEDWAY Relevant paragraphs: Chargers will be going into action at Edinburgh without skipper Jody Scott, who is due to be riding for his Cab Direct Championship club Redcar at Glasgow on the same evening. They will also be missing Max Broadhurst (ruled out for the rest of the season with a hand injury) and Jacob Clouting (due to the birth of his daughter). Cooper Rushen and Harry Fletcher will guest for Scott and Broadhurst respectively. Chargers were due to utilise rider replacement for Clouting, but he has not been granted compassionate leave by the Speedway Control Bureau and Chargers will use the unattached Kieran Douglas instead. Personally, I think speedway needs to move with the times and allow such leave, but unfortunately it doesn't.
  21. When I first started following the sport, Div 1 was really just that, very strong. Only Belle Vue, Oxford (now dropping?) and Kings Lynn remain from what was always historically top flight clubs, Leicester and Birmingham didn’t exist, Sheffield and Ipswich were very much national league, Ipswich did go not be a top flight club and I now consider them as such. We have seen too many times where lower league clubs have been pushed up to make up the numbers, Ronnie Russell took Arena Essex up in 2004 after being badgered, they were not ready for it and despite help being promised, we were left to be the whipping boys for a couple of seasons. The top flight as far as I’m concerned is finished.
