  1. Past hour
  2. Next season new tyre, harder compound, could wipe out any tuner overnight, Ashley Holloway seems to be the fastest engines at the moment on the world stage, Peter johns seems to be winning at domestic level but the ultimate goal is Kowalski
  3. Looking forward to this meeting. I think Leicester by six on the evening. I guess it depends on how Tom is feeling after yesterday's crash, or do we get to see Harris top up his pension fund? Its just a shame that Leicester are a six man team in most of their meetings.
  4. Went along to this fully expecting an exciting meeting and the Bears to push the Pirates all the way, somewhat inexplicably neither materialised. I have never witnessed a meeting at the Ecco Arena without a pass in 15 heats after the second bend. For whatever reason it was gate and go and invariably the Pirates were sharper in that department. Congrats to the Pirates who seem to manage to do what is necessary when it counts the most. Sure the Bears will be determined to regroup for the KO Cup meetings.
  5. Please please enlighten us as to who you think will not make it a borefest and why the riders you want will be more of a challenger than the 3 I mentioned Becker Thorsell….. come on you seem to know the answers but have named nobody If the Russians aren’t in then on pure ability and the chance to actually be in finals it’s 3 from Fricke Michelsen Doyle and Vaculik
  6. 8 competing teams confirmed ( licences pending) Rybnik Bydgoszcz Krosno Rzeszow Poznan Lodz Ostrow Pila
  7. 8 competing teams confirmed ( licences pending) Torun Lublin Wroclaw Grudziadz Zielona Gora Czestochowa Gorzow Leszno
  8. Yes but it does seem to get a lot of overly critical flack compared to other tracks. Maybe its because we make so many finals so get more than our fair share of tv coverage or more likely people who have a dislike of Poole and there are a lot, like to use it against us.
  9. He's replacing the #1, so it's OK: 011.4.2 Guest Rider (G) b) a rider may ride as a guest (in an official meeting) at a track only once in an 8 day period (within that league) excluding Play Offs, unless he is replacing the home teams #1 or is ONLY declared in a British Development League Team
  10. It was said they started watering before 5 so an area that had quite a bit of rain a day or two previously needed watering!
  11. Today
  12. Anyone any idea as to why Anders could barely walk in the pits after his 2nd ride? Havvy was avin to help him walk
  13. When they first announced SGP2 before I read that it was just a new name for the U12s, I thought a competition for the 16th-31st best riders in the world would be interesting. Top 3 into the GPs? Winner of each round gets a wildcard in following GP? Probably fairer than SEC as Aussies & Yanks get a equal chance of qualifying.
  14. But they were watering the track shortly before the start of the meeting 🤷‍♂️
  15. Well I've thoroughly enjoyed me toast n butter 😀 I didn't involve the jam as I'm saving that for further more appropriate celebrations. Currently enjoying me celebration flat white ☕ in Costa Cleveland Centre 😀 @Neila
  16. But, depending on how long Lawson's compassionate leave lasts, Ellis won't be usable next Friday due to the '8-day rule'!
  17. The rule is ANY rider who has a British Speedway established average can be considered a guest, so long as their converted average fits. For Premiership riders that only usually leaves a few possibilities such as covering for the very top riders as in this case. When you look at the other top averaged Championship riders they are mostly Redcar, Glasgow or Poole riders, none of which can be considered. The rest you would argue are not on a par with the top rider in the league at this time in Richard Lawson. Obviously the very top Premiership riders wouldn’t be eligible in any case not least their average would be hideously high. So Adam Ellis for Richard Lawson is one of the few situations this would work.
  18. For anyone interested MM has given his first interview after Denmarks run in SoN, safe to say he wasn’t happy: "I'd rather not comment on that. looked like a fu****g clown or an idiot. I think that if the plan from the start was to keep me as a reserve, it was worth giving someone else a chance. It's possible that the things I managed to do this season with my team in Torun weren't enough to represent Denmark,"
