  1. Past hour
  2. Plenty. But your best bet would be Mulford or Pijper. I'd stick with Edwards - but why replace the second best rising star (based on 2026 Premiership all match average exc bonus) with one who would be overmatched by all the existing Rising Stars.
  3. Heard any rumours? Am I going mad (or have a reached a certain age) or do I remember that a Promoter said that they hoped to get 2027 rules and regs sorted out in the summer this year so they could plan and sign riders earlier to provide riders, promoters and fans with security regarding the next season......
  4. The six current Rising Stars all have Championship level averages between 5.74 and 6.78. I'd say they are very well matched. I'd agree that there is not a great choice of new talent to replace riders dropping out. Mulford and Pijper look the best in the short term. It really would be better having rising stars in the Championship
  5. Belle Vue have a student price that our group make use of. For me, partner (2 adults) daughter & boyfriend (both students) plus my partners two grandkids and three mates (15y x 2 & 11y x 3), it cost less than £90 for the nine of us to watch at the NSS, I’m happy with that.
  6. Yes It is a shame Dan can't ride for Sheffield like Lambert like Lambert did for Belle Vue a few years ago.
  7. British speedway has been rather lucky with the Swedish tyre rule, new Polish ruling and Mayfield at Ipswich simultaneously. If we get a higher level of riders it will initially increase the crowd numbers. We need to maintain those numbers! So, the presentation needs to be much improved. We need better introductions to the meetings and more interest in the grading breaks to keep people coming back. Discussions with Plymouth and Poole who have increased their attendances recently would be useful. Student/young person pricing, better social media or generally local advertisement. This could be great for British speedway but we need good advertisement and presentation to go with it!
  8. Most rising stars have an average over 3 so a 40 point limit for a 1-7 would work out as yet another drop and make it tough to fit in any extra top riders, should they choose our league.
  9. Today
  10. Agree, although weather obviously plays a part in that. A bit of rain forecast for Thursday so highly unlikely to get the prep exactly the same.
  11. Agree especially on the rising stars. That’s run its course for where this league needs to be heading. There’s a real lack of talent in that age pool and they’ve added riders to the list that just shouldn’t be there. There’s also a huge disparity between the plum two or three that everyone would pick, and the rest who are just making up the numbers making it all a bit of an unfair nonsense. Set the limit and then crack on building how you want within that limit.
  12. Correct, I'd set the 40.00 for all 1-7, removing the Rising Stars for me is a must in 27.
  13. I agree, The luxury is over for Glasgow and Poole as they've now got a choice of PREM racing or being asset stripped. The Polish rule is a blessing in disguise for the PREM Clubs and the Swedish Clubs have done Britain another favour with the tyre fiasco. Been a terrible League this year but next year has the potential to be the best British League we've had in a while.
  14. I hope to see him back, King has been fantastic this season but he's got no chance of maintaining his GSA next season in what will be a tougher League due to the Swedish situation. I'd try and get this if it's possible (No idea on Team Building Limit so it's just a rough idea of a Top 5) 1. J. Doyle 2. A. Ellis 3. T. Musielak 4. T. Brennan 5. K. Woryna
  15. Reading various Books and articles it would seem that Speedway was always subsidised by Dugards business when they ran it to the tune of up to 50k a year and that the four or so others who have sub-let, have all lost significant amounts of money. It is ideal for weekend action you'd think but a really hard place to get to without a Car in the week and after work. Ball park 1000 seems to be the guess but of course ball park 1000 in the Championship would probably mean 1500 required in the PL and from all the information available that would seem to have been unachievable since the boom times in the 70's and 80's Whoever takes it on is going to have to have deep pockets, but that applies to almost any Track with the probable exception of Poole and Ipswich that attract the biggest crowds and biggest sponsors.
  16. Something tells me we’re going to see a much better league generally, teams and team strengths. Onwards and upwards.
  17. Confirmed line-ups around 5.30pm and live updates from 6pm. 18. Tuned in to this, cracking meeting! Both the inside AND the outside were working well in terms of passing potential. Proves there’s nothing wrong with the shape, it’s all down to preparation. Why can’t they be consistent with it? A few of the riders have been having a whinge that it’s different every week they go there, why? They stumbled upon a formula that works last night either through luck of judgment, stick with it!
  19. something tells me we will see more than 6 teams next season
  20. I’d say it’s almost impossible to leave out King as well. The head says it’s not sensible after a fantastic season if you want to build a title winning team, his average is once again at the awkward stage. But the heart says he deserves his place if he wants it which I’m sure he will. Musielak has been great, but King is rider of the year for me. Much maligned by a section of the fan base, but he’s piped them right down this year. Woryna Musielak King +4 Would have loved to have seen Woryna on that track last night by the way, that would have been, interesting! Edit: I’d fit Ellis back in as well for his Foxhall scoring alone. Great interview from him last night where he spoke of Ipswich being his “Speedway home” in the UK and he loves coming back here every time. He’s a fantastic character as well and great for team spirit in the pits. Woryna Musielak King Ellis +3 We’re getting there 😁
  21. I don't believe they try any less here - UK speedway is actually quite difficult due to the variety of tracks which are not as easy to ride as those in Poland but there is definitely less at risk if they have a poor race/score.
  22. Team building plans for 2027 whatever the league format, whatever the team limit, whatever his average should be: Tobi Musielak + 6 other. Absolutely class again tonight and just great entertainment.

  24. Yesterday
  25. Does anyone know what crowd level is needed to run speedway at Eastbourne?
  26. Well now Kings Lynn are out of the play offs, Max is available for Sheffield.
