  1. Past hour
  2. Who says we didn't? Last night would have been a different meeting entirely had it been raced before positions were decided. And unless Brady and Dan say they weren't trying in the semi at Foxhall then that's only a guess as well.
  3. In theory one league would provide the riders as many meetings as they’d get doubling up but it gives the sport a whole lot more integrity than if they’re riding for two different teams. Presumably the pay scale would be somewhere between the leagues now so even out.
  4. Today
  5. Can I have some of those sour grapes 🍇? 😂😂 - Why do so many people talk about Ipswich fans saying they will win the league when it’s only a select few?
  6. Could quite easily have altered the play off dates, and maybe they should be held after the last gp anyway to stop the Kurtz farce happening Then we could have completed the league and had the correct teams riding against each other once again no lessons learned after last years farce
  7. AI is not accurate or verified, just reports what's on other online sites, as you've just proved.
  8. If done correctly then absolutely. On the basis of a league with 14 teams you could race home and away against everyone once, then another round of six fixtures against the sides in your north/south conference. Makes for 19 home meetings per team, plenty of speedway. Points count in your north/south conference and then there are play offs to decide overall champions at the end. Either top of each region over two legs or the top two from each region qualify with semi finals. Not necessarily what I’d like to happen but an option.
  9. Am I right in thinking the cut-off for averages is 23rd of each month? If so, looks like Ellis and Dan T swap, so the latter is back at reserve for the Play off final
  10. See it is r~r for Bowes tomorrow and means Tate can have a extra ride as he is one above in the averages.Hope the weather plays ball.
  11. Exactly Arthur good point, can't see him being anywhere else but it's certainly possible
  12. Interestingly I did a google search to confirm SWC is 29th August 2026, and AI corrected me and stated it was 27th September 2026.
  13. Specially if it does go too one league, with Richard currently doubling up, his earnings could potentially be cut in half
  14. Why did you think that's funny blue? most sportsman in any sport follow the money, and in speedway now there's no legal reasons to stop riders moving around
  15. Well no ban then, as he's actually riding! 😁 Never seen him before so looking forward to seeing how he does tonight.
  16. Obviously lawson happy at poole but I'm sure if poland offered him £800 a point and not ride uk he'd be off
  17. Everything has been tried and failed, there will always be someone chasing the big plastic trophy every year, who's happy to exploit every loophole in the Rulebook, no matter what the cost.
  18. Just to echo what a few others have said, no one wants any track to close even if that track was seen as a rival, the sport is only as strong as the clubs in it, the more that go, the more chance your own club could fall. I have seen three clubs that I used to attend on a regular or semi regular basis go, Arena Essex, Rye House and Hackney, not been to a meeting since 2018 when Arena went but still get the star every week and watch the odd match on you tube or the highlights posted on social media, because having followed it from 1988 to 2018, it’s in my blood now, for me personally at its core, four riders sliding around an oval track is classic.
  19. oh i agree, i worked for BT when i rode and used holiday, i'm just pointing out that i've had these discussions with riders in the past
