  1. Past hour
  2. It won't be 36, that's just a stupid rumour started on here. Silly season has begun...
  3. I never said most Championship teams fans thought it was a better league than the Premiership just a better product. I think you will find that the riders you mention do very nicely out of the Championship in terms of earnings. To suggest that the Premiership big money 'helps them ride in the second tier' as if they couldn't do so without is doubtful. These riders choose to do Championship to boost their earnings. Riders signed for European teams may be in a better position to drop the Championship because they no longer need it for financial reasons. Premiership teams this season had between 3 and 5 riders who also rode Championship . If it went to one British League I don't envisage many riders and certainly not the Aussies giving up British Speedway but that is just my personal opinion.
  4. 1. J. Holder 9.08 2. L. Flint 5.05 3. T. Musielak 6.63 4. A. Rowe 5.22 5. C. Holder 6.84 6. J. Etheridge 3.00 7. L. Harrison (RS) = 35.82
  5. From the NSSC website …… Pippa is a FIM Commission member for Women and is also the first Ambassador for Women in Motorcycle Racing at the ACU, a role specifically created for her. Pippa has spent over twenty years involved with motorcycle sports, initially through her relationship with Irish Superbike and Moto GP racer, Eugene Laverty, who is now her husband. Pippa has recently fallen in love with our sport and is gutted that she hasn't been involved before now. One of her key passions and focus is to help raise the profile of women's speedway on the international stage, and in the last three years she's had some notable success. Her role within the ACU though has expanded beyond this now, so for example, Pippa is also responsible for their social media output as well. British Speedway also benefits as she has applied her skill set to help with their media events, hospitality and sponsorship. Pippa certainly knows her way round the ACU rule book and regulations and took the time to attain a clerk of the course licence. She understands and respects that the governing body is made up of volunteers who are passionate about making improvements within the sport, rather than just police it As is the case with many enterprising women striving to make a positive change within male dominated motorcycle sports, Pippa has skilfully learned how to open doors in order to achieve her goals and has responded to any barriers positively as a challenge.

  7. But maybe what he really needs right now is to improve his gating, so that might just be the perfect choice for him. 🙃
  8. What happens if Sheffield don’t run ? No league meetings. Just straight to the play offs ? Maybe the 4 remaining clubs in the prem should do a Poole and insist on only running in the championship. One big league. Yippee. What a shambles our sport has become.
  9. Brennan would have to find another club if it's a 36.00 limit imo, The only way to fit both Tom and Doyley in would be to rip up the title winning side entirely and I can't see that happening.
  10. Poole. He agreed to go there for 2026 quite a while back. As under 16 I don't think he has actually signed yet. Never seen him race, but if he's as good a racer as he's said to be then it's a shame for the sport that he's chosen a gate and go track
  11. But that’s 6 of the 7 from last season that were woeful away from home and the one rider you left out in Zach Cook was awesome at home Brady and Dan are the best top 2 in the league Id definitely have Brennan over Lidsey With Blodorn he was awful last season maybe the SGP2 win will help him but he basically was the worst number 2 in the league All season your fans moaned about the 2 reserves and Norick and now you want all 3 back?
  12. Today
  13. Yeah he said you was sat on Danny's lap😂
  14. Yes and with storm Sebastian on the way it’s looking rather bleak for getting this fixture run this week
  15. Could this be the end for the Tigers. With no buyer yet been found, who wants to take on this promotion in these tough times. Of course there is plenty of time until the start of next season, however it leaves us all in suspense.
  16. Villads Nagel to Sheffield excites me
  17. Need to lose Danny on a 6.5 that's for sure
  18. Chris Louis to be greeted with another award next month I see!
  19. These championship team fans need to be careful what they wish for, saying their league is better than the prem yet if the prem didn’t pay the likes of Z.Cook, Lawson, Wright, King etc big money, thus helping them ride in the second tier, they wouldn’t have many good riders at all. Take out their riders who ride in the prem and it’s a pretty poor standard. Everyone can say Prem is better or Champ is better but the fact is Speedway needs to be better.
  20. Well it was definitely the right call. The rain has been lashing down, earlier than forecast.
  21. If the 36 limit is true, even Doyle and Brennan as a top two would be pushing it, let alone adding Bewley.
  22. Bewley to Foxhall instead of Emil?
  23. Post in speedway general discussion section I’ve asked mods to remove but they are so slow at doing it.
