If they don't do a Cardiff with this, it could be the final nail in the coffin as far as WBD are concerned, which wouldn't be a bad thing in my opinion. -

Think this should get through your thick skull……quote…’ Redcar are at home on Sept 20 and 26 so undoubtedly wouldn't want another home meeting the following day, nor the 27th. Sept 30 may be embargoed due to SON in Poland ( Sept 30 to October 4) crazy but would also explain why Sunday October 5 is the first available date. ‘. ……unquote. - Today

What 'spasmodic' fixtures did Poole have as a result of Bournemouth playing football? They completed all their home league fixtures by the original August deadline -

Premiership is governed by the TNT deal but the Championship has made an absolute horlicks of their fixtures this year with none of the competitions anywhere near being concluded. No doubt due to riders being unavailable at various times due to foreign commitments, not to mention all the guests used for uninjured riders. Its been a complete mess and will probably only get worse before the end of October. A massive rethink needed for next year. -
I was thinking of more travelling fans who might be tempted to travel to an away track on a weekend race night. I know Ipswich get very good support and I use to go regularly and would normally go to Mildenhall because they ran on a Sunday. When it was a different set up in years gone by, it was Hackney on Friday, Rayleigh on Saturday and Eastbourne on a Sunday and the occasional trip to Canterbury and whenever Rayleigh were away from home at another weekend track I would normally go. It is all different now with fewer teams spread across the country making supporters think hard before bothering to travel to an away match. Stocks and bangers probably get more support for many reasons and it just does not compare from a business model perspective. Anyway each to their own.

Same every season……all the prime fixtures are run on muddy tracks in dodgy weather with p. Poor racing. record breaking low rainfall throughout the summer and we have spasmodic fixtures due to British gp, swc, bournemouth playing football, England playing tiddlywinks, and any number of random excuses. last Thursdays FTG at Ippo due to wet track conditions was an example. … -
I would like to think Morris will be back more so as a way of thanking Berwick for getting him back into British speedway. The crack going around last night was that both the danes are happy to come back for 2026.

Spring races were introduced at the beginning of this season... why ? ... to stop Zmarzlik winning the 6th. Also, everyone knew them as part of the new scoring system. Zmarzlik proved to be faster there than Kurtz. You better ask yourself by what kind of "rule" Kurtz got direct place in the final instead of Lebedev who beat him in heat 17

Also 2 factors stock cars have in their favour are: don't think events are rained off (happy to be proven wrong) & almost guarranteed on-track entertainment, esp 'demolition derby'-style races. Never been to watch stox either, keep meaning to pop along to Scunny one time I'm told by those in the know I'd love it, but like with speedway much of this year, the trick is / was finding the time. Life does tend to get in the way of such things a wee bit.... -
Well here goes the way forward for Speedways Future if anyone their is listening or interested. Yes this has been posted everywhere but will it make a blind bit of difference for the future or will it be the same old.💩 1. Leagues to be run on the Danish system of 5 rider teams with maximum of 1 GP rider per team. 2. Each team to name a squad of 6/7 riders. 3. Teams to run on their preferred night and if rider/riders are unavailable, National League riders to be drafted in. 3a. No guests under any circumstances, redeclarations allowed once per month. 4. North League; Belle Vue, Sheffield, Berwick, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Redcar and Workington. South League: Poole, Ipswich, Kings Lynn, Leicester, Oxford, Plymouth and Scunthorpe. 5. Teams having National League teams to stage meetings after main meeting with same format as Danish system. 6. Teams not having National League teams to stage second half with minimum of 6 heats. 7. North and South winners and second places to meet in semi finals and final. 8. League cup to consist of all teams and drawn in first round with 1 from North and 1 from South. Overall winners of each match through to quarter final with team losing with highest aggregate score to go through also. This is all fantasy, but something needs to be done now. Everyone to look at the big brighter future and get over themselves.

They did say they were having the SWC in May at Warsaw, which sounds like the biggest 'I'll believe it when I see it' yet.
