  1. Past hour
  2. Piraterna have the begging bowl out, threatening to withdraw from Elitserien if they don't raise £120k by the end of the month.
  3. Like you say”it is what it is”.Unfortunately deteriorating.IMO
  4. He seems a good rider so may be worth a go but is he as good as Edwards?
  5. To increase the interest and entertainment, there should be arm-wrestling contests between riders based on their riding numbers, with Scott Nicholls refereeing. If a team is using r/r for a team place, the team manager should be the substitute. 7 contests would produce a winning team, with a separate league table running through the season. They could run a darts league as well.
  6. I actually think that the tracks are what set the Polish and Swedish racing apart from the UK.. As we see, the racing at certain tracks already named can be very good, so the level of most riders, whilst not as top level as elsewhere, can produce some great stuff to watch.. Which I think is down to the riders having complete faith in certain tracks, their preparation, shale and surface presentation.. On these tracks they ride closer to each other as they won't be thinking "this could throw me off", or "I need to focus more on the guy in front, rather than racing him, as he could lose it on this track" Leicester last night has lots of the usual UK stuff of four lads riding equal distance apart but no one trying to do anything to put themselves at potential risk, instead they, as often happens, settled for their positions well before lap four.. Tom excepted of course as he desperately wanted that point his team mate had..!
  7. OK so i get everyones views that they dont mind riders mixing and having a laugh with their rivals,so when the racing isnt that good how do we make it a bit more cutting edge with a bit of spice to the meeting. The only rider in this meeting to show any zest for wanting to mix it with rivals was Josh Pickering who was busting a gut at least having a go.How do we get everyone busting a gut if its all toooooooooooo friendly?
  8. Be aware, depending on how/who you subscribe through, you may have to give 30 days notice of cancellation, so you may have to cancel the day after you subscribe 🙃
  9. I was watching the French Open final on Sunday the Players were having a laugh with each other during the match..I quickly switch off along with the 100 million world wide to go on the Speedway Forum to see if anyone had made comment on it. I won't watching Tennis again that's for sure
  10. Offered much better money to ride in a better league in Poland which everyone would take (and if you say you wouldn't you're lying)...felt that track prep in the UK was poor and dangerous (which at some tracks it was) so no longer wanted to ride here...but it was his responsibility to stay and try and save British speedway?! Utterly ridiculous. The Tai bashing by some is so tiresome. Any excuse. It's just boring now. The guy is the most successful rider this country has produced, he has only ever wanted to see British speedway flourish, and our current status as reigning SON champions is down to him wanting things changed from the top down with Team GB. He instigated that. He championed it. Where we are now is due to him. So I'd say personally he has done the complete opposite of not helping British speedway. He has gone on record as saying he would love to further help the sport in this country, the guy is an asset that, if used by the BSPL, would help revolutionise British speedway. But the suits would rather plod along as we are, staring at the abyss...
  11. The other side of that argument is that he could be missing out on additional revenue from fans who don’t want to/can’t attend, if he’s broadcasting the stream..
  12. I’m pleased other clubs don’t take that attitude. Love watching streams from other tracks where I’m unable to go. Skin a fart for an appeny comes to mind.
  13. If Edwards isn't fit, how about Mitchell McDiarmid as a guest? Rode well for Oxford at Poole!
  14. Today
  15. No, it's because Buster owns the stadium and makes money from the bars and food outlets. Would make no business sense to give people a way of watching without going.
  16. NKI is finding hard to win races this season, looking at the stats. Heat wins, Harris 13 , Klindt 12, Kvech 11, Lawson 9, NKI 3, Boughen 2 No surprise our top 3 all have had a stint at reserve.
  17. I think it can work if you have riders like Pickering who are willing to attack it. It certainly didn't help the racing that Sheffield were just so poor, especially from the gate and were just team ridden out for 4 laps in many heats.
  18. Different league but Rowe rode for Leicester and Kerr is usually good there but riding second string in the premiership is tough.
  19. Watched last night on the TV but the previous week's meeting in the stadium and I thought the outside line worked well, and was used to great effect by Pickering last week.
  20. You must have missed the 500 million IPL viewers turning away from cricket because opposition players sometimes have a laugh with each other. Darts rapidly increasing in popularity? Fake news. Nobody's interested because the players are too friendly during matches. And as for PL football. A sharp decrease in interest because of all the hugging before and after matches, discussions on the pitch, subs from opposition sides having conversations whilst warming up, managers sharing a joke etc. Or maybe they just take no notice because it happens everywhere.
  21. Team is suddenly very depleted, no number 1. Rew seems to be riding with an injury and Edwards taking a hit last night 😕 wonder if we will actually bring in someone to replace MJJ
