  1. Past hour
  2. 4 not 5, but the club does struggle to get brits to travel up to us here at Edinburgh that are of a standard which is good enough. Hence having to go down a different route. We do have the Monarchs speedway academy which has plenty of youngsters in attendance, just not old enough as of yet to compete apart from one who turns 15 this month but is too soon for him ride NDL. Give it a couple more years and hopefully we’ll have 2/3 Scots in that line up.
  3. 100% 👍🏻 Let's hope it's the former, time will tell, until then I'll curb my enthusiasm 😐
  4. If rumours are to be believed, Northamptons 3 heat leaders are going to be as follows. Epstein , Mountbatten Windsor and the Russian tart . As good a threesome as you’ll find anywhere …
  5. At this late stage Speedway has nothing to lose. They come in do well give the sport a future. They fail & go bust in a couple of years we’ll the way the sport sits today it can’t much more that 2 or 3 years left in it’s current pro semi pro guise anyway.
  6. Thought you were talking about Northampton new number 1 Lenny Late . You said he may start
  7. I'm a realist, I don't see why your creaming your pants over a totally unproven, unknown organisation entering our sport. Your only argument seems to be name calling... I'll add you to the roll of honour 👍🏻
  8. New ideas in speedway are always exciting and should be welcomed with open arms. However, chasing grand ambitions without solid capital of your own is a recipe for trouble—Mayfield Sports Events Ltd is banking heavily on sponsorships and others’ money to fuel their big promoter dreams, and that support could evaporate overnight. The massive contract dangled to Robert Lambert—if he bites—looks unsustainable past June under Mayfield’s shaky model. Lambert, fresh off GP silver and Nations golds, commands top dollar, but without steady revenue, such payrolls spell crisis. Fans deserve stability, not hype built on sand.
  9. You really are one miserable bugger aren’t you? Never known someone to moan, whinge, and see the negative side of just about everything. Glass half empty doesn’t even begin to cover it. I feel sorry for your significant other.
  10. He did more than most away last season and only Max & Jack had a better away average from opposing teams. Sorry to burst your bubble. Maybe fact check yourself next time, if they interest you that is.
  11. It’s a absolute disgrace that Edinburgh has a bspa member in control of the club and has always ran a youth meeting but see fit to unveil a development team that has 5 members that are lets be honest not British youth riders and never have been, are they really saying that this is the best way forward to developing British speedway in the long term, if so god help us or have they just been just taking the micky out of every parent who’s spending hard earned money to try and get their kids through the system, they ain’t the only ones but this many is scandalous
  12. I'm all for giving them a chance and seeing what it is they have to offer but let's not get carried away, as some are, like when WBD entered our sport. And the track record of those new to British Speedway seeking to change it from within has always resulted in the same outcome.
  13. Time for these old timers to retire then me thinks.
  14. Stir the pot theory seeing as a lot of names are being branded today in regards to potential No.1's. Belle Vue haven't announced Brady Kurtz. A very late U-Turn has happend where a One Rider Over 8.00 Rule has been introduced at PREM level to ensure that Northampton are competitive instead of being the 2025 Oxford Spires due to the amount of money it's cost to get them up and running. Mayfield Sports have made a late move for Brady Kurtz with Norfolk lad Olly Allen as Team Manager. Tai Woffinden to Northampton with Pete Adams because it's a shorter distance to travel for Pete and Tai is like a Son to Him. Belle Vue sign Jaimon Lidsey in a Double Change when upgrading one of Peter Kildemand or Tate Zischke. Nobody is left empty handed and everyone will be competitive.
  15. Great line-up but still sad to see that there is not one young Scottish rider in the Edinburgh Academy team
  16. Personally I would have thought having someone who hasn’t any speedway experience is a real bonus. We always moan about the same cartel with the same old ideas running things into the ground. Then when we get some one new to speedway coming along some moan about lack of experience. In terms of the prize pot if that’s been reduced to a level that makes the go series viable then that’s something that is always demanded on here.
  17. Both have said they can only make it pay if they double up, Wright ditto.
  18. It's now in my opinion not a development league it's NL lots of local riders missing out
  19. A sad state of affairs that sums up the state of the sport. Whilst I admire the academy set up the club have the National League ( it’s no longer a development league ) is just becoming a watered down championship with second strings ( Simon Lambert ??? ) and non Brits being brought over to fill team places .
  20. Today
  21. I'd go one better this time and get Tom Skinner to do the PREM KO CUP Draw BOSH!
  22. I'd have him at Leicester ahead of Drew Kemp 👍🏻
  23. Got to feel for Simon Lambert. It's a bit like Ant & Dec revealing the Bush Tucker Trial votes to the camp on I'm a Celeb where everyone is praying that it's not them.
  24. You’ve already bored everybody to death on another thread with your scare stories about Mayfield sports and the lack of a full GP Calendar and their credentials to present one. You then strangely disappeared when they subsequently announced a full GP Calendar a week or so later. Pipe down.
