  1. Past hour
  2. Each time he has been interviewed h has mentioned his wing being nowhere near returning to racing ..... hopefully he is fit to return next season and get the deserved farewell tour he deserves,
  3. Today
  4. William Hill are offering 50/1 on JASON DOYLE to win the SWEDISH GP tomorrow night. Best priced 8/1 elsewhere.
  5. But teams will get a guest. If clubs had to use juniors, I'd understand the reluctance to sign Cook.
  6. But if Pedersen rides one match then walks out, Birmingham can get strong guests in for a month!
  7. I can't believe it happens at all, if a rider refused heat 15 I'd sack him on the spot. If there were suitable replacements of course. Or maybe put something in their contract, refusing a ride carries a fine?
  8. Don’t think Nicholls will be back this season will he?
  9. Good grief. Let’s hope you never have to run a business with that attitude. You’d go bankrupt quicker than Workington.
  10. I get what you are saying, and that’s true about lambert although his polish is very very basic, but at least he trying so you can’t knock him. I would say though, England ‘invented football’ yet Brazil were the best for a long time and that 2002 dream team of Ronaldinho / Ronaldo / rivaldo / Carlos, they never spoke a word of English at that time.
  11. Beyond your passive aggressive angry little person response. Thank you for pointing this out I’d missed it. That’s exactly the kind of statements I’d expect in this situation even if it was over due. I sincerely wish the comets all the best.
  12. It's not an English entitlement thing, it's really not. I do agree that riders riding in Poland should try and learn the language, I think Robert Lambert has hasn't he? Isn't his Mrs Polish though? But like it or not English is the international language in the western world, there can't be many global sports where all the participants don't have a decent grasp of English.
  13. *is an improvement on Cookie He’s definitely guesting for him
  14. There’s none as fat as Barker that’s for sure!
  15. A rider that shows up is an improvement on Cookie 😉
  16. Taken from the 'Working' Comets website... "We would like to sincerely thank our loyal supporters, sponsors, and riders for their incredible patience and understanding during what is undoubtedly a challenging time. We will continue to work tirelessly behind the scenes and will provide further updates as soon as possible." You keep intouch with yourself Mgas. I blame the internet Fondest Regards
  17. Iwade have never been in the top league. Which Danish top league tracks are 'dog awful'? Instead of people wanting the actual issues addressed that drag the sport further down they have a pop at the person speaking out. Same people moan that riders never speak out etc.
  18. I’d say English / Australian riders should try and learn Polish as that is where they decide to go and make big money 😅 English people feel so entitled in life but to be fair, we as a nation are pretty dumbed down expecting everyone else to speak English. We are a lazy country and now it’s showing how poor our economy is and how better other countries are, including Poland.
  19. To be fair m&s did give out vouchers to those affected will Worky 😄
  20. King Charles would say... "My gosh, is Speedway still going? One used to love watching Barry Briggs at Plough Lane, Mayta used to effing love it"....
  21. I was thinking more of World Speedway than British Speedway, although British Speedway would benefit from a higher profile if World Speedway were more successful. The SGP series is at its lowest ebb pretty much since its inception... Havvy & Woffy English speakers? Lol, they both did have mainstream cut through though as did Nielsen, Crumpy and Hancock all of whom I've seen on non Speedway specific media. I dare say that if Nicki and Trick had been champions in the current social media age we'd have heard a lot more from them. Totally agree with your last couple of sentences.
  22. They didn't get the cut through with Hans, Trick, Crumpy, Pedersen, and Hancock... All English speakers... And then you had Havvy, Loram and Woffy... None of them crossed over to make the mainstream take any interest... And, most importantly, it isn't Poland's responsibility to make UK and World Speedway prosper... That is down to those who take responsibility to be the custodians of the sport.. The bottom line is... They are just not very good at holding that position..
  23. Im surprised clubs still sign him tbh considering his unreliability.
