Poole v Plymouth Championship
Dickie Head replied to Arthur54's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Two off my grasstrack mates at the Masters said that he might have been concussed. No proof though. Wonder if speedway concussion protocols apply to a grasstrack (or similar) incident? -

Same with Jason and Emil. Can therefore decide who is at number 1 and who is at reserve for the play offs. -

Such a sad way to end Brums existence. My reason for attending these past 3 years has been to see some good racing even though we have been on the wrong end of a few tonkings. But last seasons poor team building and this seasons closure announcement combined with another poor team has made it very difficult to endure. The team were obviously too weak from the off and has been gradually downgraded throughout the season. OK Tolley has lost a lot of money throughout this venture but surely the only way he was going to increase the audience was to put together a side which could at lease compete at home. I have always loved this sport but after this I'm not sure whether I'll be attending any meetings at all next season, I'll probably change my mind as the season approaches but this episode has really skewed the way I see the sport in this country. I only hope that Coventry make it back to the tapes because I cant see myself making many trips to Leicester or Oxford to get my fix. -

I might be having a blond moment, but why would Ford being promoter of non running Coventry, have an impact on where Poole ride? -

Would we be stronger with Thompson or Ellis at reserve. I think it’s an absolute toss up at the moment. -

Ford is the promoter at Coventry, said so at the inquiry. Would mean Poole stay where they are anyway. -

SPEEDY69 replied to dontforgetthefueltapsbruv's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Yeah, but the reason it's like that is that the people who make the rules only think as far as the end of their nose, not the possible implications because I bet they didn't even realise the point you're making! -

One lap dashes would be good, or, timed laps perhaps. -

Same here about Jimmy Savile, I worked with somebody that used to work for the police and she said they knew about Savile, that was in the year 2000 she told me that and he wasn't outed until 2012 Anyway back to the Speedway -
We're that good we're in a league of our own! 🙂

You don’t like follow the leader races? When Dan T beat Kurtz was that not a good race to watch? When Doyle cleverly kept Kurtz behind him was that not a good race either? Or do they only become good races if Kurtz would have got through? Heat 14 was a case in point with Zach getting through on the last corner … wasn’t a good race until the last corner but need you will be saying it was a better race than the superheat…. You don’t always need overtaking to make a good race

JT signed for the rest of the season.

I use to live near Stuart and a few years ago my ex organised him to attend an It’s a knockout event, at her school! A while after a friend of hers bought her a lovely painting of some giraffes. I came home, admired the picture then noticed the artists signature. It was Rolf Harris! Like I say she’s my ex so I dodged the conversation when asking how the kids are, “They’re fine, Gary Glitter has taken them to the Jimmy Salville appreciation society where Rolf Harris is doing portraits.” -
