What time is the 1st race 2night, not fussed about watching all t pre match build up. -
A bit strange as the reason he withdrew from the Blue Riband was because he couldn't get his bikes down to Poole!!
-
Hitmen is a wonderful, completely original nickname that should be kept. Wouldn't it be better for any MDL team running out of Buxton to be called the Bulls or even better - Buxton Shotguns?!

Compassionate leave is not allowed either. That's what Oxford asked for Jacob Clouting. Story here: PREVIEW: Key battle for Chargers in Scotland – OXFORD SPEEDWAY Relevant paragraphs: Chargers will be going into action at Edinburgh without skipper Jody Scott, who is due to be riding for his Cab Direct Championship club Redcar at Glasgow on the same evening. They will also be missing Max Broadhurst (ruled out for the rest of the season with a hand injury) and Jacob Clouting (due to the birth of his daughter). Cooper Rushen and Harry Fletcher will guest for Scott and Broadhurst respectively. Chargers were due to utilise rider replacement for Clouting, but he has not been granted compassionate leave by the Speedway Control Bureau and Chargers will use the unattached Kieran Douglas instead. Personally, I think speedway needs to move with the times and allow such leave, but unfortunately it doesn't.

What will 2026 UK speedway bring?
marko replied to Lionsman66's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
When I first started following the sport, Div 1 was really just that, very strong. Only Belle Vue, Oxford (now dropping?) and Kings Lynn remain from what was always historically top flight clubs, Leicester and Birmingham didn’t exist, Sheffield and Ipswich were very much national league, Ipswich did go not be a top flight club and I now consider them as such. We have seen too many times where lower league clubs have been pushed up to make up the numbers, Ronnie Russell took Arena Essex up in 2004 after being badgered, they were not ready for it and despite help being promised, we were left to be the whipping boys for a couple of seasons. The top flight as far as I’m concerned is finished. -
Agree think it’s time for Zach to move on.

I do agree about the hangers on but that’s widespread in speedway in general, I’ve been pointing out some of speedways greatest freeloaders for years and they don’t like it either when you point them out -

Far too many hangers on in that set up who add nothing to actually improving us on track, they get an all expenses paid for trip out of it though. Vatcher being one of them, doesn’t add anything, prances around sprouting crap, offers nothing. Along with all the others with nonsense job titles, jobs for the mates stuff. -

I think its a matter of a lack of experience abroad for the two Lukes, in terms of how to ride those tracks and set the bike up for them. They will both have learned a shed load from the meeting but I think the Team GB set up needs to get our 15 & 16 year olds riding in Poland and other countries on 500cc machines more regularly if we want to be competitive in these types of meetings. You could see from the way they were riding that Bednar, the Danes, the Aussies etx are all completely at home on a track like Torun and that only comes from experience, and probably loads of training time. -

I do like the visual professionalism that GB projects but is it producing the results ? Outside lambert and bewley where are we ? -

Had to have helmets on for doing wheelies etc, all the bikes they rode in the meeting would’ve been in the fenced off area where they need to stay for 30 minutes after their last race so probably on the spares. -

Despite having team Kevlars I thought it was good to see race jackets with the flag of the country on, thought it looked very traditional and I am a fan of team Kevlars -

It’s actually quite ridiculous the amount of members team GB have compared to the other nations. All for wanting to look professional but they take it to another level. You get a lot of the “oh look at us we’re team GB” vibe from it, more than one team staying in the same hotel as them yet they’re the only ones with the daft posters at the door saying official hotel of Team GB. It’s just daft. -

When the riders came out for their victory lap before going on podium why did they have helmets on and why did they all take their fork covers off ? -
Jeppesen is nearly a point above Zach, if his average fits, of course he's be preferred to Cook. Can't see it happening unless Poole move up.

GP line-up for 2026
szkocjasid replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
My memory is when the GPs first started the U21 Champ qualified for the following season. I think Crump, Mikael Max & Jesber B Jensen, got in this way. It got dropped as the U21 Champs weren't always GP standard, even when it was a 24 rider field.
