Who are these 'weaker teams'? Brum & Ox are gone and Lynn didn't want a lower limit this year so almost certainly won't for 2026.
-
Admission prices wonโt drop though to match the drop in standard.
-
you missed Rich Lawson ๐

We definitely donโt pay close to what some do, can tell you that for a fact ๐.
-
These teams suggested if there's a 36 point limit look pretty decent to me. Maybe could make for a more exciting league if there's more riders of a similar ability competing.
-
But they don't charge me twenty seven quid to watch it happen...

Yeah agree, Antti has talent no doubt, his equipment rarely lets him down and his attitude seems very good and he comes across as professional. Generally very good at Northside and slightly improved away, He just needs to have more confidence in himself, gate better more often and want it a bit more if he is to achieve his potential. Tate surely a shoe in for next season, I would hope he has learned a lot from a disappointing season and be better prepared in 2026. Like Antti, he needs to work on sharpening up his gating.

If it is to be 1 league (still to be decided) then I would love to see Dan the Man spearhead his local team, that would be fantastic.

In woodlands management some of the larger trees need to be chopped down now and again in order to let the sunlight get through and the saplings to grow

Iโm riding something better than a Wessie now, Iโm riding a 1952 jap 4B, I will having a blast up in those hills soon
-
Sad news. Best wishes to Mike and family. I can remember many years ago, Andy turning up at Saddlebow Road with his MX bike, and going a lap on the back wheel for the crowd.
-
If they wanted to lower the cost, wouldn't adding a 2nd "rising star" be more beneficial than removing the system completely?
-
Add in that we have lost 15 teams in the past decade.... Wolves, Coventry, Birmingham, Somerset, Lakeside, Rye House, Peterborough, Swindon, Stoke, Newcastle, Eastbourne, Oxford (top tier), and the IOW and Mildenhall, (NORA), (Kent got replaced 'ish'), and Cradley stopped riding at Wolves, and you have to wonder what standard we would have today if all these teams were in any of the 3 leagues, given the lack of rider numbers.. As the song goes... "The Only Way Is Up!!!".. Edit. Add in Buxton, but they are coming back.. (Dean, get that Wessie out, you are their No1!!!)...๐

I think Tom is nailed on to be back tbh. 50/50 on Danny and the club, I think he/they will either want him to race for Ipswich the rest of his career or he/they will see this season as mission complete and pursue a change of scenery for Danny and make space for the next generation of long term witches riders to remain. doyle 7.86 King 6.50 rew 6.19 ellis 5.92 tom 7.05 thompson 5.87 edwards/rushen RS 39.39 as much as Iโd love to see Emil ride here for years to come if the team building regs are as per this season I can see this being our most likely team lineup. Weโve got to shed points and this keeps team continuity from our rider base from the past few seasons. if Emil were to come back emil 8.21 thompson 5.87 tom 7.05 ellis 5.92 Doyle 7.86 5.09 left edwards/rushen RS best options for me would be blodorn 4.87 or jeppesen 4.34 if jeppesen then one of Ellis or Thompson could be rew or king

Don't say that Norby, it will probably come true...๐

They are on here giving expert advise as to how to remedy UK speedway's slide into oblivion. And apparently most favour Two visions - so if that happens the 'slide' will obviously continue !!!!!

He will be up there for sure if he keeps his head straight, if Poole end up landing him and Beau Bailey they will have two of the best up and coming talents available and both born racers as well. I watched the SGP 3 grand prix this year which featured them both and there were plenty of riders in that field that would be worth a punt in 1-3 years time if they could be tempted over. -

I agree but it always works for Poole rather than others. Jammy sods -
Shame it's looking like 36.00 then. As usual the weaker teams hold all the cards, evn though such a low limit won't benefit them. They just think it will.
