Strange with Zach Cook. A couple of match winning meetings here a few years ago and he looked like a Foxhall track specialist! But the last couple of seasons it seems as though he’s completely forgotten how to ride the place and looked awful. -

I would expect a better score from Zach after last night, he looked very quick. Thompson seemed quick enough but made bad decisions on track. Edwards was good too. I don't think the result will be close. -

On paper, I agree with you, however I have just a few niggling concerns: 1. It seems that Ellis’ injury is more problematic on smaller tracks. 2. Thompson seems to be struggling with Foxhall since his return from injury and hasn’t been the same as pre injury. 3. Edwards last two meeting at Foxhall have not been good with 1 & 2 points respectively. Having said that, I still expect us to turn around the deficit and progress. I just can’t see enough points coming from Mulford, Zischke, Blödorn and even Cook. Cook has scored 1, 3 and 3 at Foxhall this season. Can’t wait. -

How convenient, however the cynic in me thinks the Poole promotion realizing Redcar have a meeting at Oxford the next day thought... wait a minute... "how can we swing the odds in our favour". What if Redcar had an injured rider or two. As I said it's me being cynical, they wouldn't possibly hope for that.. Would they

Exactly .Early call off will become the norm these days, can’t blame them really, all these moaners are sitting in the house with no intention of going to the match anyway.Anybody intending going won’t mind especially fans with distance to travel.Riders attitude nowadays can’t guarantee they will ride on wet track or if there is drizzle.

I can see the lead being overturned within six heats, home 4-2 in heat 1 and a 5-1 in heat two and its going to be a long night for us. -
Which demonstrates that price is a red herring when people talk about what to do to attract more people to watch the sport live.

I spent 5 days in Poland last month and never needed cash at all - just get a travel friendly debit card like Starling or Revolut and you'll be good to go. Rico -
I like the concept of Northampton becoming a speedway track but looking at a map its hard to see where a "local" crowd will come from. I think its pie in the sky to expect Peterborough and Coventry fans to make an 80 mile round trip for home meetings. Depending on where a Peterborough fan lives Kings Lynn or Leicester could be closer. I hope Northampton does become an active speedway venue I just hope they have been realistic with a business plan.

Was interesting to hear Bewley on TNT publicly say how much he enjoys riding Foxhall despite not doing particularly well here. He’s said the same over the tannoy at Foxhall in the past, but I just put that down to the fact he was being interviewed in front of a big Ipswich crowd and saying all the right things. He’ll soon be hitting the big scores here when he rides it most weeks next year. 😁 -

Taking their line up this season it wasnt beyond the realms of possibility without the injuries and long layoff for Cook, many were saying pre season they were the dark horses, we still only finished a couple of wins above them, it could have been another Peterborough, i dont think they would have won the play off but when you look how they started to get their form together towards the end of the season especially at home and their performance at our place just losing out in heat 15 it could easily have been a close call. Its hypothetical and just about opinions anyway.
