  1. Past hour
  2. It’s not a like-for-like replacement; it’s deeper than that. We took a risk when building this team and while it may still work, it’s cost us several times this season. We’re top heavy and that isn’t Max Perry or Freddy Hodder’s fault, but unless our top five are firing on all cylinders- which hasn’t happened on several occasions - then there’s more pressure on those two teenagers to deliver, especially the one riding at number six. Perry and Hodder have had a tough gig this season, but they should be proud. Next season, keep Hodder and compliment him with a stronger reserve.
  3. I should add that Dan Thompson - who raised concerns about competing in said meeting due to the risk of injury - ended up injured because Luke Killeen was unable to control his bike taking off from the start line. The final ended with three riders eating dirt.
  4. Cairns was outstanding last night and continues to exceed expectation, but I agree with the sentiment of your second paragraph. The standard of British speedway is abysmal and the level of rider coming through is so far removed to what this country once produced. The British Under-21 final earlier this season was like watching one of Scott Nicholls’ training schools. The focus for 90% of that field was safely getting around two bends; not actually racing. It was so poor. Once upon a time, we had Lorams and Screens, then we had Steads and Allens, then we had Kennetts and Bridgers, but now we don’t.
  5. Kerr and Bowes out, Luke Killeen and Ben Trigger replace them

  7. LINE-UP: Adam Ellis, Will Cairns, Zach Cook, Vinnie Foord, Anders Rowe, Tobias Thomsen, Drew Kemp, Kevin Juhl Pedersen, Paul Starke, Jonas Jeppesen, Fraser Bowes, Edward Kennett, Richard Lawson, Darryl Ritchings, Scott Nicholls, Lewis Kerr. Kerr surely not riding. Lawson back? Eddie Kennett? Interesting that he still wants to ride speedway. Poole clearly looking at Pedersen and Jeppesen for 26.
  8. Not a surprise,you couldn’t make it up.GB speedway at it’s finest.
  9. i know, im not slagging emil off, id do the same if i was him, like id have done the same as kurtz before his world champ attempt. but both riders should be treted the same i feel,
  10. Trybuna: B Sektor: Goście Wejście: Główne Rząd: Miejsce: Goście is the away Sektor on the 3rd bend I'd say.
  11. That doesn't stop Polish clubs stopping their riders with bogus medical certificates riding here, but we just let them get away with it.
  12. Sorry don't want to reign on your parade. He beat the reserves and Palm Toff. Not exactly a sixteen year old Michale Lee, Mark Loram or Joe Screen is is it? Is that how far the standard of British speedway has fallen, that you rave about a sixteen year ole beating another two young riders with averages less than 3. Yet one of them managed to beat him twice!!
  13. exactly this. Is it meaningless to the fans who are paying over £20 to go, or meaningless to those with season tickets?
  14. Personally don’t see why they signed Perry.Hodder was signed on 1 good guest appearance ( never really improved with Berwick last season). Hodder is showing signs of improvement though( main at home).
  15. Jan and Kevin say thank you to all the Glasgow fans who gave us a really good welcome last night.
  16. Good line up as well by the looks of group A! Hope the weather holds out and we can show them all the premiership trophy as well 😉
  17. both riders signed a contract to represent the club in every match, be it important or not,
  18. Don't let facts stand in their way Steve, you know you can't say anything negative about the mighty Belle Vue on here. We know it is a meaningless fixture like the one at Oxford tomorrow as well. It is probably Emil's Polish team that have done this and out of his hands, not like Brady who made his own mind up to not put himself out in a semi-final.
  19. But how many times did Perry beat Cairns. Surely two is better than none!!
  20. https://ipswichwitches.co/tigers-academy-open-at-foxhall/ Well done Chris Louis. Sadly I can’t make it, but I hope plenty get out there and support the youngsters. It would be great for them to race in front of a decent crowd.
  21. 3 semi finals for Glasgow & could they possibly “hibs/spurs” it & come out with a duck this season ?
