  1. Past hour
  2. I’m now hoping for a bigger better national league, because the premier league doesn’t doesn’t excite me with 5 or even 6 teams and the championship is too far to attend regularly so unless I attend national league my attendance is going to be limited to around 5 meetings all season
  3. Really liking the look if this Glads team now. Assuming he will be in on a 4.00 Leaves 8.85 for the 3 and 7 (I think) So BB + Ritchings maybe?
  4. Pay all your money folks in 2026, you won’t enjoy yourself or get the product you want but it doesn’t matter it’s all about 2027, sport could be finished in uk by then, never thought the death would come from within, well they have halved my family’s money, my Mrs who is a belle vue fan has already said 5 team league doesn’t interest her so won’t be going to see the same teams over and over, may as well just have a play off tournament in late august
  5. Very good overview and the point re planning for 2027 beginning now totally relevant.
  6. Wanting something and accepting something are two entirely different concepts. For now the majority of fans of clubs are accepting the latter in the hope that something will be (is being) done to make things more desirable in the near future.
  7. Hard to be exact because of so many lower order Premiership team changes, but I recon that there are about 17 currently announced in the Championship next year that were not doubling up in the Premiership last year. No 2026 Premiership signings announced yet, but last year there were about 23 riders that rode Premiership without riding Championship.
  8. 6. A single league has too many issues to resolve in the short time available to be anything other than an unmitigated disaster. [Hence if that is an option for 2027 planning should start now]
  9. Clearly like the bspl you can’t read the room either, nobody wants it not even the fans of the 5 clubs
  10. By all accounts they're pretty much that already. So yes, you're absolutely spot on!
  11. Whilst not willingly and deliberately by the promoters, could the Premier league effectively turn into a loss leader unless they get their collective act together?
  12. I do sort of understand why some wouldn't be keen on Brennan - he hasn't exactly got a stellar record round owlerton. Other than that, I can't see why anyone wouldn't want to sign him. A rider that's improved year on year, a real professional and speaks well for himself and in what could be a weakened league I think could be a real asset as hes proved he can defintely hold his own at heatleader- given the opportunity I'd love to see him have a season at Sheffield, however I fully suspect he'll be back at Ipswich.
  13. I agree it would be good to know.....and understandable that if what's on offer no longer appeals, folk will indeed choose to stay away. Its fair to say promoters actually do understand the dynamics, just not clear that they know what to do about it.
  14. Dear old JD had the best equipment and was well funded but he would have been better off at longtrack, I remember when he signed for Lynn poss 88 under Simmo and Bill Barker he was a good trapper but coming out of the second bend he would be leaving a gap on the inside the titantic could have got through. And JD'S riding the boards wasn't in the Henka or Loram style it was more just looking uncomfortable on the bike, to be fair he had an above average career but he never looked suited to speedway to me he would have been better on an oval twice the size of Lynn where he could drift off 20 metres from the inside line.
  15. Makes sense to announce Rushen tonight. Oxford announce their reserves tomorrow, and are realistically the only other team that might have signed Rushen. So if you announce Cook, leaving a 2 point hole and Oxford don't announce Rushen the it all but confirms your final rider. Cook still has that little bit of 'has he changed his mind about missing the Championship next year' mystery if they announce him last.
  16. As I said, We are all entitled voice our views on this forum including if you choose to believe or not believe the reasons I gave behind the promoters thinking are applicable or not. However, maybe you should accept that views/opinions are one thing, whilst decisions are altogether another matter. At the end of the day decisions made are what ultimately counts and where UK speedway is concerned those decisions are made by the promoters not the rank & file folk on this forum. The only decision the majority of fans/supporters can make is to decide whether or not to pay or not to pay hard earned money to watch the meetings. And whilst you appear somewhat deluded to think that folk on this forum actually have sufficient collective power to hold the promoters to account, wait until March and just see the supporters (the vast majority of whom are not even on this forum) pay their money to do what they want to do- which is to support their team.
  17. If so then we have a new number 1 in Jonas plus 2 previous number ones in our team without the pressure for me that makes us very strong along with Tate who can produce big scores too.
  18. Today
  19. Good luck with that then............... hope you've got the handshake in order.
  20. The riders definitely run the sport for themselves and have done for a few years and are the first to moan when someone tries to do something putting the sport first, Dickson (TM of the year)😂 certainly has a few quid to lose by it only being one league, I am determined to find out what is behind this insistence of a premier league from the collective though
  21. but people are making there own decisions, by not going anymore. those that have left dont want to understand there decisions. just lost interest.
  22. We are the ones who ultimately are making the decisions, we are the ones that pay for it, without us nothing happens and we collectively are not happy about the decisions that are being made, your first 3 are not true, 1 with the exception of a couple of riders the riders are the same, 2 if common sense prevailed on both sides of the divide most of those top riders could ride in one league anyway 3 there is more than enough foreign riders willing to ride here without the need for NDL riders and even if they weren’t most of the NDL riders ride in the championship anyway 4 protected race nights have done major damage to British speedway and need to be scrapped , 5 the championship would become the elite
  23. Will look in later to see who's signed and if the fans are happy with the signing, but the last few days a hell of a lot of rubbishe been talked on here it's not good and it's not clever. Let's get to speedway issues and slagging off the track 🙃
  24. Interesting concept, but hard to imagine the promoters of the premier clubs would willingly have their business financially sacrificed as a marketing tool whilst others (championship clubs) benefit. The objective behind an elite type of league is that it actually does make a profit whilst creating awareness for the sports other clubs to thrive from. But as I think we all recognise, the sports at a pretty low level at present and much work in the right direction is required - harmonising the promoters would be a good if not almost impossible task to start with.
