Ipswich v Belle Vue POSF Leg 2
Aries replied to blue witch's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Was interesting to hear Bewley on TNT publicly say how much he enjoys riding Foxhall despite not doing particularly well here. He’s said the same over the tannoy at Foxhall in the past, but I just put that down to the fact he was being interviewed in front of a big Ipswich crowd and saying all the right things. He’ll soon be hitting the big scores here when he rides it most weeks next year. 😁 -
Belle Vue -V- Ipswich POSF leg 1

It all depends how you restructure that team, Zischke for one wouldnt be considered at all, pre season everyone was saying KL were the dark horses, only our top two got us over the line in a last heat decider at home, at one point they could even have caught us, theres no doubt injuries disrupted their season, we only finished a couple of wins above them in the final table, it certainly wasnt beyond the realms of possibility. We never looked like a play off winning team without making changes. Its all about opinions. -
Using dynamic pricing it woukd go down - so don't expect British Speedway to use that.

Ipswich v Belle Vue POSF Leg 2

Obviously the standard in Germany and longtrack u23 is very poor, maybe you should have kept Vuolas. -
What i mean is calling a meeting off just because it " might " rain later on in the late evening. Quite obvious Poole wanted the second leg at home to see what they needed to score, Redcar should apply the same as i sure they would prefer the second leg. Very silly comment to say as far as your aware! Loads of meetings are called off per season but just seemed too coincidental that Poole was a preempted .

I heard the rain is going to make the track Gnarly 😉 -
Some absolutely crazy comments on here. Fact is Danny is not overly bothered about having the 2nd leg. Everything was in place to run yesterday, BSN had set off and were well on their way when things all went on hold. Forecasts weren't good so decision was made. This decision had to be made before midday otherwise costs soar. Having witnessed the rain we did have, maybe the meeting could have been finished before the heavens opened.

What about when there's clearly no demand? Put the prices up 😂
-
It's common practice in other sports to charge different prices for different grade matches- speedway is probably slow on the uptake! And that's without the model of 'dynamic pricing' where ticket prices vary for the same sections based on demand. I'm not saying I agree with it, but I doubt that is the reason people are drifting away. Perceived value for money is a much bigger issue.

I don't think the ever did, wasn't it down to Martin Hunter and Ben Duffil approaching them with the idea instead of the other way around?

Lidsey? Hes the highest averaged 3rd heat leader in the league. -
The unnecessary price increase highlight's how detached from a professional business acumen these people are. Speedway is done and dusted in this country. R.I.P. BRITISH SPEEDWAY.

Kent Vs Birmingham 7/9/25
old bob at herne bay replied to Fozzie4388's topic in National League Speedway
Always good for a laugh the "SCB" you could not make it up , they were incompetent when I attended speedway and haven't improved. Their grammatically incorrect statement shows the completely amateur disorganised shower that are allegedly controlling the sport. "The SCB Referee at the Kent fixture had been informed that Mr Foord was unavailable for this fixture and having consulted the SCB had at that time had correctly allowed a facility, however on further investigation this should not have been authorised and the score of the guest for Cooper Rushen will be deleted from the meeting result." So referee consulted the SCB and they had allowed the facility. (they repeated HAD twice for avoidance of doubt !) "on further investigation" they changed their mind ! you cannot do that !!! amateur hour !!! the score of the guest for Cooper Rushen ???? what ???? I thought Cooper Rushen was THE guest rider ??
