  1. Past hour
  2. Kurtz was a revelation, but for me Lebedevs made the big step this season, was in the mix all year. Lambert was poor ,to me if his gating lets him down he can’t produce.
  3. Probably depreciated to be worth less than dust now though... depending on how much they paid for them of course 💰
  4. hes been announced in the initial Australia squad.
  5. https://www.peterboroughtoday.co.uk/news/people/uncertainty-over-future-of-1500-homes-and-leisure-village-plans-for-east-of-england-showground-as-deadline-is-missed-5320099
  6. I thought JD announced his retirement from competing for team Australia a few years back?
  7. Today
  8. I think Ipswich are favourites and I'm expecting them to win it all things being equal but I think they will be made to gallop at times rather than canter by Sheffield or Leicester.
  9. I don't think Brexit and Covid helped the number of Poles travelling to Cardiff seemed to drop off a cliff post 2020 and agreed the year Bewley one it the surface was truly terrible which would have killed 20-30% of the spectators from ever coming back. Despite being a far from ideal location Odsal did produce some great racing in the two world finals I witnessed there.
  10. Jonus Jeppesen announced for Poole's Blue Riband on 24th. Be interesting to see how he goes on his first visit!
  11. They could have made those quotes from him sound more realistic. "The boy Bartosz is a top, top rider" “You will never get a better chance to win a race than heat 2 at Belle Vue. My missus could have won that one.”
  12. No, because the league matches haven't been completed yet. 😉
  13. Live updates from round 3 in Krsko on Saturday from 6.15pm UK time https://live.baansportfansite.nl/event/994/european-250cc-pairs-speedway-championship-final-3-krsko.html
  14. Depends if the Sheffield match can be held and Sheffield win the league
  15. Abbreviated accounts are not very informative so it is hard to be certain. I suspect note 4 and accounting policy 2.6 of the amended 2023 accounts are the key. Or alternatively it may be mis-accounting for transfer of BSPA funds into BSPL in 2020 (is there a fund where members bonds are held that was not initially included?) But I also note that 2020 was covid year, so could it be mis-treatment of deferred TV rights income? How about covid loans that subsequently were converted into grants without the change being reflected in the accounts? My question is what is that £200k plus in stock? [Retired chartered accountant]
  16. Hi Steve, Drop me a line please and we'll see what can be worked out. info@classicspeedwayvideos.com Cheers, Jan
  17. And now they bring in Harry Redknapp , not as like he has any experience of how to fight and win, when it looks a bit dodgy financially, maybe he brings this expertise to speedway ? Moments after the not guilty verdicts Redknapp stood on the court steps flanked by his son Jamie and slammed the investigation – saying that it “should never have been to court”. Jurors accepted Redknapp’s denials that he avoided tax on any payments over £189,000 found in a Monaco account. His acquittal alongside Milan Mandaric blew the final whistle on a five-year £8 million police investigation which failed to yield a single conviction. Mandaric and former Portsmouth chief executive Peter Storrie were also cleared of £600,000 tax dodge claims at a previous trial, it can be reported for the first time. During the trial Redknapp was at times moved to the verge of tears as the Crown alleged that he told a pack of lies in an attempt to get off the hook. What happened in Harry Redknapp's tax evasion trial and what did he say about the case? | The Sun
  18. Confirmed line-ups from around 5.30pm UK time and live updates from 6pm https://ta.svemo.se/Public/Pages/Competition/DrivingSchedule/CompetitionLiveResult.aspx?Branch=Speedway&Columns=CompetitionInfo,Branch,Name,Organizer,FromDateShort,LiveResult&DateFilter=TODAY&pagesize=10&IsArrangeable=true &ShowSearch=true&Style=SvemoWebsite&CompetitionId=17376
  19. Was that a bet on the overall Championship or just on Friday’s 3rd round ? If it was just Friday you need to check their rules about how they classify a betting result when the LCQ’s and final are not run.
  20. I agree, I also think the chances of Doyle taking part in the SoN are minimal imo. Surely the backbone of the team has got to be Kurtz, J. Holder and Fricke? The top 3 Australian's in the GP standings.
  21. Quite a big fiddle if it is, and in the public domain and declared. No doubt HMRC would be interested. I'd like to think there is a logical, and legal, explanation
