I wouldn't say disliked, don't know him at all. There is no issue with his effort, the issue is that he doesn't ride our track well and is likely to lower his average. It would be a bit like Poole signing Bomber to ride your gaters paradise. I hope he goes to a track that he does ride well and has a good season there

What will 2026 UK speedway bring?
Heathcote replied to Lionsman66's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
People keep banging on about not enough riders for one big league....given the fact that Chris Louis claims unless theres a 6 team Premiership Ipswich will not run in 2026....that leaves 13 teams, a total of 91 riders required....97 riders rode in the UK last season...a quick pedantic way to look at it as its plainly clear there will be no room for the Likes of Dan Brady Max and Jack in one big league, but add in a few new comers Cooper Rushen etc, add in the Aussies already plying their trade in Europe but not the UK, Michael West etc, Gets the likes of Matic Ivacic to return and similar, try and entice the likes of Berge and Bellego along with any up and coming new Aussie, Swede, Dane and 13 teams can easily be filled....obvioulsy whether the talent would be spread evenly is another question But in the meantime the can is kicked down the road to sometime in Jan when they finally decide the Premiership is dead or alive..and then wow, where have all the Premiership riders gone??? Dougy, Lidsey Ellis, Musielak, Chris Holder all sat at home now thinking well i cant hang around waiting for the BSPA to get their arse in gear, I'll sign in Poland, Sweden and Denmark...come Feb Sheffield ring Chris up and he says sorry mate, schedules already full, no time for Mondays and Thursday, Same with Dougy, Becker etc -

Of course, not an easy sell ( in the same way it is for any potential new fan) - but surely worth investigating why Chelsea has expressed an interest in speedway. Or just don't bother and miss out on a potential opportunity -
What will 2026 UK speedway bring?
THE DEAN MACHINE replied to Lionsman66's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
To be honest the national league or conference league as it was called then was a pretty good product from around 2000-2006 with teams like Weymouth, Wimbledon and Plymouth running infront of big crowds but jealousy set in from above and the bspl sent agent cook in to destroy the national league and reduce it to a training league and by the time I left it in 2012 it was pretty much on its knees to sadly where it is today -

Race format does need a couple of twigs I agree. We should have 2 Reserve Races a Night, The usual Heat 2 and another during the 2nd half of the meeting. -

Sir Sidney replied to Lionsman66's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Probably as well as, for example Joe Thompson or Sam Hagon against Emil or Jason currently at Premership level. Of course, there are ways around this such as adjusting the race formula to reduce the number of uneven races. There are no perfect solutions, but we need an acceptable transitional solution that doesn't bankrupt the clubs that are left. -

If you go into the Speedway star app you can read the first few pages before it reduces in size. Peter’s article is on page 4. He admits it’s a radicle plan and would mean scrapping averages so to avoid riders being blocked out due to a decimal point. Concluding next week. To me it sounds doable with a lot of flexibility needed from riders and promoters and the likelyhood of less meeting for the double uppers. -

Both of whom have ridden championship in the past. Teams don’t overlook riders who they believe to be competent enough. I think Nathan was unfortunate but don’t know why. I’m sure he’ll get a place during 2026. As for Ben, he’s 31 and has had many chances. A team succeeds by bringing in riders who improve during the year but I don’t think that can still be expected of Ben. On the other side, Max Perry, for one, is the type of rider that teams believe has a lot more to give so I’d expect him to get a place next year. -
I think most Pirate fans loved Tobias, good rider and great entertainer, always tried his best for us and was doing that when he got injured against Redcar, I hope he doesn't go to Glasgow, obviously not liked up there but I am sure he will do his best for whoever he has signed for.

Yes he is- but wouldn’t have made the Prem if not for the injuries of two previous rising stars & highly doubtful he would find a place in 2026 should things remain similar to this year. -

I'm a bit confused what this has got to do with Stamford Bridge speedway. It refers to the clothes being in their racing colours of green..... But Stamford Bridge's colours were blue and white. It refers to Gys Kuhn's racing number of "42", but I'm not aware of Gis Kuhn ever racing in a number 42 jacket. Are Chelsea just flogging merch and linking it to speedway without doing any research whatsoever, and just making stuff up?
