  1. Past hour
  2. They are getting good gaurenteed money for just turning up though, they don’t have try a leg if they can’t be bothered it’s just very good pocket money.Probably pays their Mechanics and Tuners wages for the season.
  3. Looking at the rolling averages, Howarth will be at reserve next month. He’s not actually riding badly but Kemp has made such a great start to the season. Kyle will hopefully fill his boots at No.6. I can see Morris having stint in that berth as well before too long.
  4. But surely Glasgow are better than that? I think they are owed a big performance but to be honest I'm not expecting it to be on Wednesday. In fact I'm not really expecting them to be in the play-offs this year, Edinburgh and Plymouth look more dangerous to me, the question is who will be the fourth team? Verdict for Wednesday is Poole 50+.
  5. Are you happy with 8 from 6 rides from your number one and world number 2? You have lost Bewley which is huge. At home you can almost cover him with Lidsey and maybe Fricke guesting though they obviously can’t replace Dan If you aren’t winning big at home without Bewley then there is pressure to step up away from home …..especially from Kurtz he needs to go to the other tracks have 5 rides and get 12 or 13 If he can and Zach Cook and Tate keep performing the way are then you can get bonus points … which you didn’t get tonight because Sedgeman and Brady didn’t do there jobs … 1 point from Sedgeman and 4 from Brady when he run 3 last places would have seen you get the bonus point Of course without Dan it will always be tough so yes 8 from 6 from Brady is not good enough
  6. I think you will find that "someone" will be on here soon explaining why Poole are very much the underdogs...
  7. 14 from their three heat leaders.... Not going to win many matches with that...
  8. Chugunov aggravated injury on Sunday. Missed nominated heat. Will he be there tomorrow. Or RR?
  9. Today
  10. I know i mean the wages put it all in context. Guess thats why Bewley is so adored because he gives it his all every race. Well maybe bar ipswich away last year :).
  11. Not quite the same... You don't have 12,000 screaming fans on your back if you lose, and also don't get the defining races, some of which you may have lost, being shown on the national news' sports round up...
  12. Big pressure riding in Heat 13 and 15 tonight at Sheffield. Guess some riders just cant hack Owlerton.
  13. Comfortable for Sheffield with no Bewley Kurtz needs to step it up away from home or Belle Vue will again be losing many away matches
  14. Poole could easily get close to 60 in this one Harris last 3 meetings at Poole 16 rides and 6 wins and is out of form Howarth last 3 has had 14 rides and 1 win Flint 8 rides and 1 win Add in having Jack Smith and Luke Harrison and Glasgow are very weak Rushen and Cairns can easily hit double figures Any Poole fan expecting this to be close is deluded
  15. This needs someone who can interpret the rule book. His absence was for a family emergency which is understandable. Does the fact he was absence as a guest make any difference? A non speedway absence might mean a 7 day suspension. In which case a replacement at 75% of Kyle’s GSA of 8.28 could apply. Just my thoughts and happy to be corrected.
  16. They publish the top earners numbers usually at the end of the season.. Usually a fair few with £600k plus... Which is why it pees off the Poles when their riders get injured riding overseas... Riders will use their signature money at the start of the season, to build not only their Polish kit, but also their GP kit, and their kit for whichever other leagues they race in.. Also. Look at any rehab that needs doing. Invariably it is the Polish team footing the bill, regardless of where the relevant injury happened.... It is big money, big pressure, big jeopardy, big consequences over there... Just how a professional sport should be..
  17. Injuries haven't helped after Poole they have two of best UK youngsters out there.
  18. Jeez when you look at those numbers you have to give them credit for riding here at all for relative buttons in comparison.
  19. Another cruel truth of the risks these guys take for our entertainment Gundo and Per Jonson absolute top drawer riders in their day, Leigh Adams even more cruely as he had left the sport when his accident happened, plus Darcy the one rider who could have maybe stopped Bartoz.
  20. If you read the post by arnieg, it says to bring in Charles Wright you have to make two, or possibly three changes.
  21. Money has always been there in Poland for a while. When I worked with Adam Shields he top scored in an away meeting that Leszno won, they gave him 2 brand new engines for that performance and Thats going back a good few years now.
  22. Yes... And some get more... Doyley got over £40k last year for one meeting... Whether they paid up might be a different matter... You can understand why some riders won't take any undue risks.. Gate and win, don't gate and settle... Especially on those "technical tracks" in the UK that seemingly you need to race on to be a World Champion... These lads on huge contracts are racing against school kids on some of these circuits... I can understand their thinking when deciding how much risk to take... To be fair, come play off time, most will bring their A Game ..
