  1. Past hour
  2. I suppose you could the same for all promoters as speedway today is a failing business model, i wonder how much Tolley lost investing in Birmingham? Whatever they come up with next season will be interesting as i can still see self interest prevailing.
  3. Did Klindt hit King in heat 6 going into the first turn as he was looking back and slowed down before the red lights came on. Should it have been all four back
  4. Sorry, didn't realise it was ht15.I wasn't there i was just replying to ShanoXtra who was and he said it was ht13.I suppose he may have got confused then as the delay was before ht13.
  5. best way to kill the atmosphere, good luck to them, be better if was like over here just old people scattered around the stadiums.
  6. its not really confusing is it the idea was to get the tie won before 15 when harrisons third ride would be moot personally id have gone harrsion in 13 too but lawson is perfectly capable of popping out and taking points from doyle & emil so can see why he got the ride suspect he wanted klindt for 15 although id have put him in 14 rather than kerr so good job im not manager
  7. The question was could his 3rd ride be heat 15 - being refused a switch in 13 was never an issue Personally I have no doubt Rob Lyon knew the answer and it was mo more than a well timed piece of gamesmanship from a wily old campaigner! The worrying part is the fact referee didn't seem to know such a basic regulation off pat! Rob's actions and use to make the most of the reserve across both legs made a significant contribution to the result - particularly manipulating a Kvech win in heat 8 of the first leg........ Good luck to Lynn in the final
  8. One thing that confuses me, so Rob Lyon wanted to use Harrison in heat 15 for his 3rd ride, so why not just use him in heat 13 instead? It would be against the same 2 Ipswich riders? Why would using Harrison in 15 be any more beneficial than in 13? Either way allows Klindt in 12 & 14! Even if the argument was to not take a ride away from Lawson in heat 13, you could just give him heat 15 instead.
  9. Doesn't that average actually come from as far back as 2019? He actually rode enough meetings in that last stint to achieve an updated figure undef the current regulations (6 meetings and no requirement for 3 home 3 away) If he allowed to return again on such a ridiculous low figure it would be a scandal
  10. If that is the case and he doesn’t perform very well when travelling I think he might be in the wrong sport! Either that or he will never become a complete rider. When you have GPs to add into the mix others just get on with it. I think he knows he let the club and the fans down by lack of social media last night and today! Thompson has been a shining light for us so often so it was hard to see him so poor last night, I know that Richie said he had an ear infection but all I hear every time we lose is excuses and I’m done with it. If we won (which would could of with a few more points from falls etc) we wouldn’t hear any excuses. The fact you fight all year to get to these matches with some significants and then just don’t turn up is why I went away frustrated. The uproar of emotion in the stadium when Kerr went hard on Thompson was actually probably just as much anger and frustration at our own teams performance and it finally came out of everyone!
  11. Today
  12. He isnt riding Championship so I doubt its too much, just not in great form although he I believe be does not do very well when riding every day and the travelling. I remember last season in the play offs he was riding every day and travelling a lot and he was awful at Oxford in the first leg,he just looked drained but had recovered at Poole and was very good.
  13. But how do you see the top league working then ? given the current format isn't working and no one wants to move up ?
  14. Scorpions will be hard to beat I tonite, poole tools look weak in the bottom end, every engine room need a good bottom end ,good luck to every rider ,will be a ball tearer
  15. ZG have been fined 200,000 pln and ordered to close their ‘ cage section’ on the 1st/2nd bend for 1 match. Good job the Polish authorities are running the sport over there and not Dean lol
  16. Remember Stuart Douglas saying that the difference between Lakeside running on a Wednesday instead of a Friday was like throwing a suitcase full of money off the top of the QE2 bridge.
  17. I still can't get over how differently the track behaved compared to last week - there simply wasn't the outside line that King used to such excellent effect. Several riders got caught out (including Doyle who looked uncomfortable on the outside of Bend 2 on more than one occasion) - and KL soon sussed that if you made your opponent go wide, you had the advantage. Also, which I found interesting, was the complete lack of atmosphere. The attendance was no different to last week's match against Belle Vue. Maybe a dozen KL fans? Certainly no noisy group of them during the match - just a few cheers when the team paraded to very empty terraces. Overall though: an splendid effort by the Stars, and a comparatively poor one by the Witches.

  19. For a team that, after Sheffield lost Woffy, had, at least, a one point advantage in the averages, over the nearest team, they should walk the league.. Especially when you consider that the team building is based on 14 heats and they have Emil and Doyle in most H15's so, in reality, that one point advantage in averages is probably around three, given those two will "4-2" at worst, many H15's... All their riders were in the top two for their positions if you could cherry pick them, with several being the best for that riding number... The reduction for UK riders was used brilliantly by Chris Louis to get this septet together... Brennan was a main HL for Brum last year and rides now at the easier No3 position.. Their RS was considered the best.... Ellis and King have struggled sometimes at No3 but this year don't have that pressure... And, in Dan T, they have an excellent No6, with a great future in the sport... Add in a truly World Class spearhead and I thought no one could live with them... Still easily the team to best if all hit their straps but I would imagine there are some doubts creeping in...
