Also, I have a feeling this will mean that Dan T and Ellis swap again... Am I right in thinking that the Sheffield fixture will adjust the averages, but the playoff don't?
-
So Emil will be done with playoffs in Poland then

GP line-up for 2026
Gavan replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
No chance you can have 15 riders as possible challengers … whoever gets i someone has to finish 10th and someone 15th Is Doyle one of the top 15 riders in the world? Is Fricke? Is Michelsen? Answers are yes…… doesn’t mean any of them will make the podium -
But the season isn’t “Over” is it? 🙄 Couldn’t have said that better myself. This sport collectively attracts the most miserable buggers on earth unfortunately. Whinge after whinge after whinge. Speedway in Britain has always had a finishing date of October 31st. There’s plenty of time to fit in any remaining fixtures. We at Ipswich used to run fixtures right up until Halloween in the not too distant past, with people dressing up in Halloween costumes and prizes awarded to the best outfit!

But then again, we could have an 'Indian summer' and have better track conditions in October than in August and September. A few years back I was on holiday in Suffolk in October and we had bright sunshine and daytime temperatures of 18 degrees. On the other hand, I remember an August one year when I went to stock car meetings with heavy rain that would have called off a speedway meeting on all 5 Saturday's in the month.

It does become more of a lottery weather wise the further you go through September and October but some of the best Speedway matches I've seen have been under lights on a crisp autumn night. With PL clubs limiting themselves to 2 race nights per week, without track covers, they are just increasing their chances of not being able to run.
