  1. Yesterday
  2. No! No! No!.... A cheap jibe..... As was explained at the time... It was the track shapes that were so different that meant he could ride over there, and not here.. Which meant he could turn a bike in Poland, but not on the tiny Costa Mesa type circuits we have over here...
  3. Hypothetically of course the BSPL could ignore those two rules in the interests of the sport 😮
  4. He could pull the plug on the Cheetahs if that also becomes unviable. There's maybe a couple of self imposed BSPL rules that could be broken. 1. A club with no home riding at another track 2. Another promotion running within the 25(?) mile range of another promotion
  5. Jedd List would fit in being another Queenslander
  6. Yes, thats what i was getting at later in my post. Presumably the name Oxford Spires couldn't be used, though?
  7. It’s not directly up to the Oxford Cheetahs promotion. That’s run by Jamie Courtney whereas the Oxford Stadium lease is held by Kevin Boothby. If someone offers Boothby a hefty chunk of change for the right to run a Premiership team at Sandy Lane then there’s little Courtney can do about it.
  8. I'm curious. In all my years of following Kings Lynn Speedway, I've always known it as "Saddlebow Road" However, looking on Google maps today I noticed they show it as "High Road" Even the Stars web site gives it as Saddlebow Road so I'm puzzled? According to the map, Saddlebow Road stops at the roundabout half a mile up the road then past the stadium its High Road. Anybody else noticed that?
  9. From memory we were utter pony that year as well.
  10. Like a lot of away riders that come to scunny once or twice a season they struggle but once you ride there every week as your home track you will get the set up dailed in and become better around there
  11. 2nd option less likely if aiming for a strong top 5.
  12. Him and Mason Campton will leave Workington enough for a Scandinavian
  13. Replace Pickering with a 2 pointer and you have 2027 one big league in a nutshell
  14. You miss the point. We'd all love to earn money doing what we enjoy or are best qualified to do. Given the opportunity anyone would. The point is that doing what he enjoys or is most qualified to do is not his only option to make a useful contribution to society as is being presented by some on here. "If you don't let him ride he'll resort to drug abuse and crime". Utter nonsense. He very well might but that would be on him and not those who decided it wasn't appropriate to employ him. Imagine if we all resorted to drugs and crime if we didn't get what we wanted to do? The vast majority of us just get on with it. Nobody owes this lad a living because he's was a half decent speedway rider, If any promoter is happy enough to accept the negative publicity and risk associated with the lad then that's entirely up to them. If none are willing to do so then he should accept that as a consequence of his own misdemeanours and move on and find another way of being a useful member of society. Perhaps the best comparison is ex footballer Adam Johnson. He made a despicable mistake served his time and has moved on knowing that he'd never be able to do what he was best qualified to do such was the nature of his crime. To say Garrity should be given an opportunity despite the nature of his crime because it's what he does best shows a complete lack of empathy for the victims of his crime and indeed the general public. Who naturally don't like to see people who have behaved despicably being rewarded. I say fair play to any promoter willing to give him a chance. Hopefully he takes it and lives a successful life from this point forward. But let's be clear, any promoter who does so is taking a risk and Garrity should consider himself extremely fortunate to be given an opportunity he is most certainly not entitled to just because he happens to be good at it.
  15. If Rob wants Ablitt i'm sure an appropriate average reduction will have been applied for with him not riding last season.
  16. Exactly - Speedway is no longer worth the risk Soon to be no more than a cost covered hobby
  17. As far as I know Steve Worrall has a business and a young family. Maybe more a case of priorities and loss of desire.
  18. But if the remaining teams in the premiership, whoever the manic 4, 5 or 6 are , want the premiership to run, the BSPL or current clubs must subside an extra team, or ask to be allowed to drop down to an expanded championship, seeing as no team wants to step up. The clock is ticking even faster now, as AGM susposed to be on the 6th January
  19. So it was you that started the downfall of British Speedway! Send him down👨‍⚖️👎🏻 😂
  20. I did ok financially out of the British league cup in 2003, riding meetings for wolves, belle vue, Poole and Eastbourne, replacing the top guys and getting a gaurentee each meeting for scoring very few points but I was no British youngster in 2003, I was 34 😂
  21. Just like his brother last season then.
  22. The cook situation is interesting because he will need a visa to live and ride here and it will be the uk team who will sponsor his visa and yet he can just swan off to Poland whenever he feels like it a give the uk match a miss
  23. 7 am tomorrow all will be revealed. Or maybe just something. Or maybe not alot at all. Blimey
  24. How about shaving a bit off because he's a nice lad
