This is his third full season in the championship I agree about Hagon. imo, this year's British U21 Championship is going to be a much stronger lineup than last year. Scott, Cairns, Harrison, and possibly Rushen. These boys, imo, are the future of British speedway, with Dan Thompson, Flint and maybe Luke Killeen. Oh, I forgot to add the young lad at Scunthorpe, Ryan Ingram. He looks very promising.

Lambert's average at reserve 4.71 (5.18) vs Jenkins average as a second string 3.27 (4.36). Even if Lambert drops a point from moving up to second string, still strengthens the team. If Lambert was replacing Wright, I'd agree "awful signing" but he's replacing a struggling second string.

So next up for the Pirates.....the Monarchs(&visa versa) should be a great night of speedway, but who will come out on top? Edinburgh not having Dan Thompson and Poole having Tate Zishcke as a guest. This could prove to be really telling result for the rest of the season. Personally I think Edinburgh are going to do well in 2026, certainly the most successful Scottish club?! What do you think?

Youāre missing the point. Speedway lives and dies on entertainment; Poole are starving the sport of that while they fill their trophy cabinet. I was vocal about recommending a Poole meeting to two colleagues from Bournemouth last season and unsurprisingly, they havenāt been back. This has absolutely nothing to do with Pooleās support or their annual revenue.

I'll look out for you. Will you be wearing your full military uniform?

Well done, spot on, and there I was thinking the Tigers might have given the Pirates a fright! Apart from Bomber and to a lesser extent Flint. Glasgow were pretty woeful. Hagon didn't score a point and never looked like scoring a point. Hodder and Smith didn't beat a Poole rider between them, but it was great to see the two Poole youngsters strutting their stuff also Luke Harrison never giving up. Glasgow have always had a good team, but to be in with a chance of the playoffs, they might need to make a change.

Bit more than iffy. If Redcar sack you (and they stand by their out of form riders most of the time) then you know it's bad.

What's happened to the "Talk Speedway" podcast?

Hagon must have his reasons for not staying at Berwick but think it was a mistake as he seemed to be able to ride the the track.Trouble going to Ashfield is everybody can ride the track well. 2 times u/21 champ doesnāt mean much especially when you look into detail of his actual performance on the night last season.

Between them they're not a long way off. Cooper's average will be 6.17 when effective, and Cairns is averaging 6.59 this season, albeit the official average will lag behind given he came in half way through last season. How many young riders have come in to the Championship and done that in recent times?

Just read the exact same exchange of comments on the Poole Vs Glasgow thread. Are all Scottish team's the same? I don't think so Edinburgh seem on the up.
