  1. Past hour
  2. I don't think the fans wanted to lose either rider. I always thought Dan T was a great signing for Edinburgh, but Harris was too popular for Glasgow to drop.
  3. Seems a sensible decision by Kemp. Dropped the Champ to try & make it abroad, I'll give credit to any rider brave enough to do that. But if his calendar is quiet, he can pick up guest bookings.
  4. This is his third full season in the championship I agree about Hagon. imo, this year's British U21 Championship is going to be a much stronger lineup than last year. Scott, Cairns, Harrison, and possibly Rushen. These boys, imo, are the future of British speedway, with Dan Thompson, Flint and maybe Luke Killeen. Oh, I forgot to add the young lad at Scunthorpe, Ryan Ingram. He looks very promising.
  5. Lambert's average at reserve 4.71 (5.18) vs Jenkins average as a second string 3.27 (4.36). Even if Lambert drops a point from moving up to second string, still strengthens the team. If Lambert was replacing Wright, I'd agree "awful signing" but he's replacing a struggling second string.
  6. Tbf at least not as bumpy as last week. Even Masters was struggling. But more importantly thunder and lightning now and actual rain! Can all cool down now šŸ„³šŸ„³šŸ˜…
  7. So next up for the Pirates.....the Monarchs(&visa versa) should be a great night of speedway, but who will come out on top? Edinburgh not having Dan Thompson and Poole having Tate Zishcke as a guest. This could prove to be really telling result for the rest of the season. Personally I think Edinburgh are going to do well in 2026, certainly the most successful Scottish club?! What do you think?
  8. You’re missing the point. Speedway lives and dies on entertainment; Poole are starving the sport of that while they fill their trophy cabinet. I was vocal about recommending a Poole meeting to two colleagues from Bournemouth last season and unsurprisingly, they haven’t been back. This has absolutely nothing to do with Poole’s support or their annual revenue.
  9. I'll look out for you. Will you be wearing your full military uniform?
  10. Not quite. William and Cooper at reserve on Friday. When new averages take effect, it will be William and Kyle for June.
  11. Well done, spot on, and there I was thinking the Tigers might have given the Pirates a fright! Apart from Bomber and to a lesser extent Flint. Glasgow were pretty woeful. Hagon didn't score a point and never looked like scoring a point. Hodder and Smith didn't beat a Poole rider between them, but it was great to see the two Poole youngsters strutting their stuff also Luke Harrison never giving up. Glasgow have always had a good team, but to be in with a chance of the playoffs, they might need to make a change.
  12. Bit more than iffy. If Redcar sack you (and they stand by their out of form riders most of the time) then you know it's bad.
  13. What's happened to the "Talk Speedway" podcast?
  14. Today
  15. So if this info is correct we then have Newman and Bowes as reserves? Does that make Poole a more or less effective point scoring machine?
  16. Hagon must have his reasons for not staying at Berwick but think it was a mistake as he seemed to be able to ride the the track.Trouble going to Ashfield is everybody can ride the track well. 2 times u/21 champ doesn’t mean much especially when you look into detail of his actual performance on the night last season.
  17. Between them they're not a long way off. Cooper's average will be 6.17 when effective, and Cairns is averaging 6.59 this season, albeit the official average will lag behind given he came in half way through last season. How many young riders have come in to the Championship and done that in recent times?
  18. Yes true and the majority went home happy, always good to beat Glasgow however poor they are at the moment. Luke Harrison was not a terrible guest, Flint did ok and Harris was good but overall not a good team, they will have to get Mario on his bike he uses abroad.
  19. Who are the best supported Team in the Championship and turning in a profit though.Poole can’t help it if the majority of away riders can’t suss the track over a number of years.
  20. Who are the best supported Team in the Championship and turning in a profit though.Poole can’t help it if the majority of away riders can’t suss the track over a number of years.
  21. Not quite, Cairns will not add 4 points to his starting average. It was always going to be vital to keep Kerr, far more reliable than Rowe, Newman is much better than expected, could or maybe should have kept Gilkes for Bowes but the jury is still out on that one.
  22. Just read the exact same exchange of comments on the Poole Vs Glasgow thread. Are all Scottish team's the same? I don't think so Edinburgh seem on the up.
  23. Vinnie good entertainment if a little low on talent, I wish him all the best he does give it his all.
  24. Standard Monarchs’ response when getting pumped. Oh, the irony Blob.šŸ˜‚
