I am pretty sure the bike Max used last night was not the same as the one he has been using for Kings Lynn, it was probably his gp bike. I expect he is on an extra bonus at Sheffield. If Max was guesting for Belle Vue we would have someone talking about the play off curse!

Fair point but that’s the problem. The speedway rules !!! That’s why nobody wants to be associated with it . It’s going backwards towards a dead end. The rules are comical at best.

I take your point but if you use the speedway rules, the player that Haaland replaces would have to be of similar standard, Man Utd clearly do not have anyone of similar standard. Max is replacing Jack who is a better rider than Max.

I think the thing is 10-20 years ago promoters did try and generally succeed in getting new riders in as replacements granted no-days that's nigh on impossible as they earn buttons here compared to Poland and even youngsters don't really want to come over anymore so we have ended up with an ever shrinking pool of riders.

Because they're fixated that it would help towards a fix for British Speedway. Removing guests won't add anything in improving the product, adding sponsorship and spectators through the turnstiles. Guests is bottom of the pile to fix British Speedway.

IMO that is where BZ may lose the title he has not done well in that historically compared to Kurtz

I would me thrilled to see BZ makes it seven world titles five on the spin as IMO he is the greatest rider I have ever seen and possible of all time ,on recent form he has not IMO been at the top of his game .I take nothing away from Kurtz or Lambert (his recent form has been outstanding ) anyone of the three fully deserve to win the title my wish is BZ ,Lambert and Kurtz in that order we don't have long now to find out !

Sprint results will be absolutely crucial. As it is Kurtz for gold needs to win the final with Zmarzlik relegated to 3rd or lower, and Lambert 2nd. If sprint points of the three go against Brady that might be his chance of a title has to wait another year. Very interesting situation, and not just at the top, 4 riders within 1 point competing for 3 spots to make the seven is also a great contest.

Just saw the Tigers’ post on social media with heat fifteen from the semi-final against Edinburgh last season. What a race. You don’t dig as deep as Harris and Howarth did in that one. Outstanding. I forgot we had lost 52-38 at Armadale in the first leg. A ball hair less than we lost at Scunthorpe. Who knows what will happen? Can’t wait.

The problem with Championship on a Saturday night is that Berwick, Plymouth, Workington already have priority. Similar issues have occured in the past with Friday nights (remember Arena Essex).

You’ve got to love speedway and its tin pot rules . If Man United reach the champions league final ( unlikely I know) and Man City don’t, with it being the last game of the season, can united sign Erling Haaland to play in it and help them win it ? Robert Lambert was a different case. He hadn’t ridden for anyone before the play offs whereas Fricke has already had a failed attempt at another club. Not that any of this matters because as witches fans are quick to point out, the seasons a sham , a write off and pointless anyway.

God it's sad that it's play off time I didn't care one bit about it . My love for the sport is dwindling too fast, fingers crossed some big changes are on the horizon to pull me back in.
