  1. Past hour
  2. The previous stock car promoter was not the best when it came to spending money or relations with others, but he sold out a few years back so things will hopefully be different this time around. Track issues work both ways when stock cars and speedway share a venue. The start line gets dug out by speedway bikes and creates a noticeable dip on the home straight. The home straight at Northampton is like a rollercoaster now compared to previous years. Kings Lynn is the only track I can think of where it doesn't seem to be an issue.
  3. Not sure where Diamonds85 took that wording from the SCB reg states in the Championship League a British rider not having ridden in a Professional League in the previous season(s) may apply for an 8% reduction on their previous Championship average 104N.B this regulation will be reviewed by the SCB at the end of the 2026 season So no mention of this being a reduction for each year merely an 8% reduction if a year has been missed NDL isn’t classed as a professional league so the rule if still in place in 2027 would apply
  4. This season went so well for them, so why not go with virtually the same team again, after all?
  5. James Shane's was with Monarchs Academy in 2026. No reduction there?
  6. Say it's a 38.00 Limit for 6 Riders. Team 1 1. J. Doyle 8.40 2. 5.00 Newcomer 3. D. King 7.17 4. T. Brennan 5.76 5. M. Fricke 8.27 or E. Sayfutdinov 8.21 6. W. Cairns 3.00 (25% Discount) 7. Rising Star = 37.60 or 37.54 Team 2 1. J. Doyle 8.40 2. A. Ellis 5.98 3. D. King 7.17 4. T. Brennan 5.76 5. 7.50 Newcomer 6. W. Cairns 3.00 (25% Discount) 7. Rising Star = 37.81
  7. Max Fricke is the ideal No.5 imo, Think he'll return to Leicester though.

  9. Agree which is why I’d move heaven and earth to bring Ellis back too. We’ll still need another heatleader to back up Doyle though, King isn’t it. King is still excellent around Foxhall so absolutely fine as third heatleader, but is his 7.32 average too high for a third heatleader? Probably. You could still go Doyle, King, Ellis and another heatleader, but the fifth member of the top five will probably have to be a sitting duck. Doyle King Ellis Brennan +1 We could actually really do with Cairns as the number 6 three pointer to save points for the top five.
  10. I wouldn't swap Doyley for any other HL in this League tbh. If we want to challenge you guys then we have to adopt the Belle Vue formula in building a side that will win very heavily at Home.
  11. I imagine the difficulty with indoor meetings is finding a venue, after Braintree they did run a couple at an equestrian place up near Chris Walkers but as far as I know none since. The 4TT is a good idea, don't know if anybody has done team racing but would be interesting to see how it was received.
  12. Reduction will be more if compound interest formula is used, almost 40%
  13. Harrison has had to cope with riding at no.5 for Scunny for much of the season, so not too bad for a young rider.
  14. Personally I'd go with Joe Thompson rather than Anders Rowe and have Anze Grmek/Jordy Loftus/Niklas Holm Jakobsen/Ryan Ingram instead of Smith/Foord.
  15. 'Returning British Professionals: Returning British professionals can apply for an 8% reduction in their starting average for every season they have missed out of the sport, helping them secure team places.' so 8+8+8+8+2.5% = 34.5% 4.80 - 34.5% = 3.14. 1 Leon Flint 8.25 2 Freddy Hodder 3.31 3 Chris Harris © 7.93 4 Anders Rowe 6.39 5 Dan Thompson 7.55 6 James Shanes 3.14 7 Smith/Foord Is that how it works?
  16. So, James Shane's last Championship average was 4.80 for Birmingham in 2022. What reductions would be be entitled to? The standard 2.5% Brit reduction, but also 8% for missing more than a season? A bit like Ablitt for Scunthorpe last season, except he only 'missed' one season. Or is it 8% for each season he's missed? If his average is low enough Glasgow could go with: 1 Leon Flint 8.25 2 James Shanes ???? 3 Chris Harris © 7.93 4 Anders Rowe 6.39 5 Dan Thompson 7.55 6 Freddy Hodder 3.31 7 Jack Smith 3.04 It would have to be lower than 3.53. If not, you could swap Jack Smith for a 2.00er (Harry Fletcher? Senna Summers?) and Shane's average will surely fit then. It would ensure that strong top 4 with a solid enough bottom 3. Jack Smith may never be better than a Championship reserve, but he'll be fine down at number 7 and has had 5 point averages in the past, Freddy is Freddy and I feel like James Shanes could really increase whatever average he's given and he's good mates with Bomber from the longtrack.
  17. Cairns average isn’t good value? I’m shocked at some of the comments about Cairns surely he should be one of the first names on the team sheet! 6 and a half point average in his first year, comfortably outperforming Rushen, and you and others see his average as “poor value”? I don’t get it. He’s 17 years old! There’s another point on that 6 and a half this time next year.
  18. 1 Charles Wright © 8.68 2 Jake Mulford 5.13 3 Jason Edwards 6.28 4 Jody Scott 6.00 5 Danny King 7.76 6 Ace Pijper 4.15 7 Charlie Southwick 2.00 40.00
  19. Not distinctly average at all, still a young lad learning his trade and one of the UK’s brightest young prospects! Plenty more to come from him next season
  20. Jody Scott's been out in Poland practicing at Torun!!
  21. Well known by yourself. The previous season i admit there were issues. This season, nothing.
  22. The California State Speedway Championship Final at the tapes (inside - outside): Broc Nicol, Slater Lightcap, Billy Janniro, Austin Novratil. The finishing order was Nicol, Lightcap, Novratil, Janniro.
