Grand Final 2nd leg Ipswich vs Leicester
SteveArena replied to Aries's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Will be interesting how many Leicester fans bother going to a dead rubber? They will only have Gavan and the Tractor mob giving it the big un when they win and rubbing their noses in it. Dont bother watch the England v Wales game instead! Or if you are like the Leicester TM Jocky Scotland v Greece! -

That's very sad. I've looked online for more details, but haven't found anything yet.

So there's a council meeting to discuss the 850 houses application on 21st October, by the planning and environmental protection committee, to which people are allowed to attend. Is this an important one for objectors? It said they'll summarise mine and other objections.

I do get worried if I take any smoke I’d kill half the OAPs in the stadium and we wouldn’t have any supporters next year 😂 -

... and that's what I like in speedway...ability to RACE...to pass opponents during a given race. Jumping from the gate and taking the best lines on the track is also fine...but it doesn't beat for me ability to pass from (last, third, second) and win the race -

..and yet a once-again packed grandstand thoroughly enjoyed the racing and the result. Incidentally heat 15 amongst others proved there can be great racing with no passes at all. -

If theres no flares tonight its a disapointment. Can't let winning the title for the first time in 27 years go by with a whimper. -

Need the same smoke show as the Ipswich town bus arrival vs Norwich, that would be something to speak about on TNT! Everyone moans about no atmosphere, then you try to give one and probably get moaned at or kicked out 😂 “Mr, please sit down, clap and then fill in your programme” -

Agreed. Speedway is quiet compared to the stocks, which also go on for hours, not 15 minutes and both less noisy than the football😃 -

Would agree ,stinks of cronyism. -
There used to be good individual meetings but then the promoters started to water them down to 12 riders and 15 heats with very mediocre cards, public stayed away.

Just one night should allow air horns, and a smoke and pyro show or laser for the end of the meeting 😁 -

I've seen some farcical decisions and events in the 50 years I have watched this sport BUT the inclusion of Woffinden in the GP series for next year has to be the biggest FARCE ever. Utter joke of a decision, done purely for publicity reasons and not for the good of the sport or other riders. Disgraceful decision which just makes the sport look even more tinpot than usual!! -
I think what you are referring to is dilapidated stadiums, very little seating and a sport that covers you in dust!
