  1. Past hour
  2. Godfrey said in this weeks star he is thinking of making a change to try someone out for next year. Lambet and Allen have been great servants of the club but both have been poor this year, I suspect either one or both will be for the chop.
  3. Both the No.2's tonight were superb. Track was good too with lines for passing inside and out. I just wish Heat 13 had an extra lap as Howarth was looking so determined for that 2nd place.
  4. Thing is... Yes, they're all good lads... yes, they all do their best..... but as a team, the quality just ain't there, we should at least be competitive at home. I didn't go tonight.. despondent... I ain't paying £25 to watch 15 heats expecting us to lose ...add to that, waiting 30-45 mins for the next meeting (which I'd probs only endure about 5 heats).. It's hard work being a Scorpions fan at the minute.
  5. Do you really think riders are gonna ride below par when they earn nothing and pay fuel tyre and ware on bikes They only make money if they score well
  6. Beaten by the better team again, fair play to the Monarchs, they wanted it more! Monarchs fans, you're a credit to your club! It was a nice change to be able to hear visiting support from the centre green! As for Scunny, my general feeling is their going through the motions to get the season done now... Massive changes needed at the EWR next season, will we see them? I wouldn't hold my breath...
  7. He rode well tonight IMO.Kildemand was the let down for me.Couldn’t gate too save himself after his 1st race win.Berwick win might have been on the cards if he had. track looked slicker than normal for Ashfield, some decent racing as usual.
  8. Yes I remember that. If he can get half of that on Monday though I’d be staggered. His average is what it is for a reason. As a Lions fan I see Lynn’s biggest threat as Klindt. It would not surprise me if he were to be given 12 or more rides over the two legs. He rides the Leicester track as well anyone on his day. Thing is with Lynn, they’re all six pointers and you never know what to expect on the night. Anyway, I’m expecting a good final between two teams who are not top heavy (one nine pointer) and similarly built. I see BSN are covering both legs which is great, as I’m not confident about TNT even getting the tricky captains coin toss right.
  9. Fair point! Not sure I agree that Bomber and Howarth will have a field day. They didnt in the PT match at Shielfield. Berwick will be bang up for it tomorrow imo. Certainly some sunlight for Berwick going into the last month or even two.
  10. Today
  11. By my reckoning he hasn't scored a single point in his last 3 meetings (10 races)
  12. Nagel was impressive, track seemed very slick though.IMO
  13. Great but unexpected result for us Bandits on a well prepared track. Jeppesen after his first 2 rides was superb, ably backed up by Kemp. Batchelor and Kildemand were steady, and Smith at reserve done his job. Hagon and Wood both had nights to forget. Berwick will be hoping to secure the bonus point on Saturday against, no disrespect a weakened Glasgow team.
  14. Flint isn’ t there r/r for Thompson Villads also missing, can see a home win if Jonus If takes too Shielfield. He was brilliant at Ashfield tonight as was Drew. Batch was Ok after Ht1 EF.Kindermand was disappointing considering he won his 1st race.Howarth beat him of 15mtrs in Heat 13 !! Hagon wasn’t at the races.
  15. Brilliant team effort from the Monarchs, gives us a good boost towards the play offs. The only thing more shambolic than Simon Lambert, is that the NL meeting wasn’t streamed. Surely they could have left a camera running for that match?
  16. Bit harsh for me that Bellers101 . Originally you guys had booked Tate but an injury in Poland tuesday prevented that so Antti stepped in. Not easy getting guests on a Friday with 6 teams riding, you might have been left up rubbish creek without a paddle without them. Jacob a reserve guesting at No2 a difficult position. In his first race he finished 3rd in a 4-2 with Charles Wright. In his 2nd ride he had a mechanical failure , in his 3rd ride in heat 8 he was disappointing but coming out of gate 4. He only got 3 rides and rightly so the way the Bears reserves were riding tonight. Antti always starts with a pretty poor 1st ride but ran a third behind Kerr and Cook in heat 3 won in the fastest time of the night, he was last in his 2nd ride out of the grave yard gate 4, he then ran a 2nd from gate 2 behind Zach Cook with Edwards last from you guessed it gate 4 before winning heat 14 from gate 3 beating heat 14 specialist Cook to put the Bears 4 points clear with only heat 15 to come. Oh by the way Richard Lawsons first 2 rides from gate 4 yielded 1 point in total.
  17. Think you need to go to bed and dream
  18. Enjoyable night of racing best I have seen Berwick in a few seasons at Glasgow. Jeppesen looks a very good acquisition for Berwick with Kemp also impressive. Nagel having his best meeting for us was like watching Ben Basso in full flow. unfortunately with both teams unable to field there own 1-7 it makes it a big ask for us tomorrow.
  19. Neither Hagon or Flint are riding tomorrow Trigger is guesting for Hagon
  20. Be ok by the time we beat the bears home and away and get ANOTHER bonus point 😁
  21. Only got 15 matches in hand until the powers that be try take more points off us 😁
  22. I was quoting your fellow Poole supporter Steve Shovlar's post. Thought Thomsen gave his all as did Cook. Only 6 points from Rowe’s rides.?
  23. That Redcar win hasn't done your lot any favours
  24. Milford did alright on his early season appearance and third time unlucky for the previously shown Grahn hopefully!
