Lidsey has the ability he just need to dial in to his home track as well as he did at NSS if he continues like he did after his first one tonight heβll be able to be a 1 or 5 after being a 3 for seasons at Belle Vue. As for Klindt well he just Klindt, first or last seems to be his mantra -

If only there was something such as a Premiership CEO to make sure all tracks started at their advertised start time, whether that be rider parade or tapes up π€ -

the Grandstand holds about 700? so if thats full thats a decent start at estimating. Agree tho once step towards better professionalisation would be publishing attendances. Can't see it ever happening. -

Same as Ipswich, start time states 7.30 but that's the start of the meeting, ie riders announced, first race is always 7.45. -
My reading is: New averages on 1 June see reserves unchanged [Poole have no more matches before 23rd cut-off] 27 May Coops rides his 6th match 3 June Coops gets average and Newman (5.03 vs Bowes 5.05) drops to reserve with Rushen moving up. 23 June average cut-off. Averages updated but with only one match since 23rd May there will be little change. However Newman, Bowes [if still in the team] and Cairns will be sufficiently close any two of them could be reserve for July.

Not sticking up for them, but was it a case of meeting start time 7.30 and first race 7.45, as some other tracks are -

First of all well done to the Foxes. Now for the not so good bits. My Uber from the station was not allowed to drop me off by the turnstiles & basically told I had to be dropped off once he was parked in the car park causing me to have a painful walk to get entry on an uneven surface. Yet again a club that advertises a 7:30 start time yet the first race was 7:44 because the crowd was outside. I have never been to another sporting event besides speedway that does not start on time. If meetings started on time the crowd would soon understand that they have to arrive earlier. The late start meant that my prebooked return Uber to the station would not wait so I wasted Β£22 as had to book a second ride. I know their were some on track events that caused a slow meeting but for the love of god please start on time. You charge the best part of Β£30 to sit in the grandstand. I consider this to be the fee of a professional sport. Please behave like one. 1. Have a drop off point for people getting lifts to the stadium. 2. Start on time so you do not appear like an amateur sport. -

Two matches is not a large enough sample to provide meaningful data. Remind me what Lidsey scored last night. [You won't find me arguing about your assessment of Klindt though] -

So far the crowd has been estimated as anywhere from 1,200 to 2,500β¦. Wish they would publish attendance figures ! -
Not sure about that Newman's average is not much below Bowes and Rushen won't be at reserve much longer, the way Cairns is going he could be above Bowes too soon so maybe by end of June Bowes could well be at reserve, as you say not sure it matters that much as we should be able to get a reasonable guest on Bowes current average.

Congrats to the Foxes - i do hope to make it there myself. For this season they need to focus on winning at home to keep these decent crowds interested. - Today

While I wish Bowes well in his recovery, this doesn't hinder Poole at all. For the rest of this month Cairns & Rushen at reserve, plus Kerr & Newman can take r/r outings. When Rushen gets a new average, Cairns & Newman at reserve, Rushen can take a r/r outing. Bowes won't drop to reserve till July at the earliest. Besides if Poole can win at Redcar without Rushen, who can challenge them at all?

Leicester Lion replied to IainB's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Interesting first experience of Northampton. The stand is impressive. Viewing from the grass banks less so; I wish they were higher. Everyone is looking for the best vantage point. The outside gents' urinals were a tribute to the gross toilets at Cradley Heath. I estimate the crowd at 2,500. After a confident start, Leicester threw away several points to allow Northampton to take victory. To lose to a team which includes the woeful Klindt and Batchelor takes some doing. On Douglas's first bend slide off, he did it unassisted so the exclusion was fair. Gilkes was half a lap or so behind the leader when he came off, so I think the ref erred on the side of caution to stop the race while Gilles was still leaving the track. -
What gjcone said! Bewley was in the form of his life and BK seems to have started slower than usual - history wont repeat itself and he won't run him that close again. I do hope that comes back to bite me though!

Really? They stopped giving wildcards to riders because of their nationality ahead of their ability, looks the strongest field since the Russians were banned to me. Not sure why people are saying it's virtually over after one round, Zmarzlik will always be favourite, but it's not like he's miles in front, he's not even leading the series yet.

Probably, ive gone off the GP tbh too predictable and when a rider can score 8/9 points win the lcq and end up with 20 points 4 more than the actual top scorer of the meeting its a joke. Also half the field automatically qualify, i understand the arguments about GP v the one offs but the route to qualify for the one off was open to every rider, some great meetings along the way too, British final, European, Nordic, Commonwealth, the jeopardy of the one off made the night special. Only my view and i understand im probably in the minority. I dont think BZ needs to get any extra laps around the NSS its the type of track he rides every week in Poland, replacing Dan is nigh on impossible.
