Just to correct your comprehensive list. The Long Eaton invaders didn’t close during the 1997 season. All the fixtures were fulfilled and planning had started to run in 1998.

Not a lot to report from the STAARS meeting. Ipswich and Northamton, there are daily zoom meetings. Sheffield are not having a headline team sponceer but teaming up with the Childrens Hospital to promote their chatity. This was well recieved. Talk of setting up a proper supporters club to try and ge better away suport. Meetin concluded with a fantastic race night put on by Ryan. Meeting very well atended and a good night had by all.

What about Northampton?

Have they really though? It's only because they are in the Olympics. Once they are over, the freestyle snow sports will return to the fringes. Is it too late to get speedway included in the 2028 Olympic Games? - Today

Snowboard x Speedway could learn an awful lot from the freestyle snow sports, how they have taken a fringe sport into the mainstream. Also the two snowboarding/free style skiing BBC commentators Ed Leigh & Tim Warward are the type speedway needs for TV not the pit you to sleep Tatum. -
Yes, sorry, Speedway Futures Limited 👍
-
Speedway Futures Ltd i guess

Oh I know. I was just as vocal about this on Facebook as I am in here. I'm an avid supporter of the sport and I'm often on the team of "stop being so negative" but it's been bloody hard to try not to be this winter 😂

Are there different threads? If so you could start one on speedway and thus begin the eventual demise of Curling as a credible sport! -
Be careful Don't want you spilling the contents of your half empty glass. Speedway fans never stop astounding me, they all want the sport to be massive but there are so many who are always bloody negative. On Facebook the BSN post says details and prices of packages will be available by the end of February, first reply is how much will it cost !!!

Going by what's gone on all winter the clowns in charge probably won't know what they are worth, and will give the rights away 🙃
-
Great final, was there too on back straight about ten rows from the front opposite the start/finish line. Penhall v Olsen & Knudsen absolute classic races.

PREM 99.99 CHAMP 169.99 Both Combined 249.99

Just out of interest what was the season pass cost in 2025?

Just imagining Drew Kemp competing and pulling up when behind pointing to a mechanical failure on his snowboard! -
Fairly sue there was a South Coast junior, Peter Turle, around that time. No recollection of a Paul or a Terle.
-
Depends how much the rights cost them to aquire now SFL "own" them all of a sudden 🤔
-
A bit processional.... Although, relay Speedway could work...
-
I was watching the event where they were outdoors on snowboards on a kind of MotoX track going downhill, it was quite exciting and they were making great use of the drone as well... not just following the rider around at the back!

Yeah, but whoever makes the best start almost always wins…….ah but with speedway……… enjoy your speed skating! -
Personally I think BSN have the finger on the pulse regarding how much punters would pay, I'm expecting a similar price for full 40 ish championship meetings like last year and probably around 25 is premiership meetings
