  1. Past hour
  2. Loram went straight into the top league with Hackney in 1987…. Moved down with Hackney in 88 and moved to Ipswich in 89 before going back up with Kings Lynn in 1990
  3. Getting some practice in for next weeks GP challenge maybe 🤷‍♂️

  5. There was noticeable dust from heats 1-4, Mr Dickson explained track prep prior to heat 1, then as he said he would watered the track after heat 4, this arguably left it a little too wet, especially in turns 3 & 4. I was stood on turn 1 and didn't get bothered by any dust at all during the whole night and I'm the first to move at the first hint of dust hitting me. The only place I saw any dust was when it was heading towards turn 2 and the pits, so @tellboy could have moved to literally any other part of the stadium to have avoided it.
  6. Congrats to Leicester on winning the KO Cup, and the double for you Leicester fans is certainly on. On the meeting itself, didn't really think Lynn had much of a shout after Monday's draw, but as they proved at Foxhall a couple of weeks ago, Klindt at reserve can rack up the points, so anything was still possible. On Heat 6, we all see it differently, but after seeing Kerr's pass quite rightly allowed against Dan Thompson at Foxhall (Just Hard Racing)i feel it was the correct decision to exclude Klindt, but again just my opinion, and it had no effect on the overall result whatsoever. But i must admit, even though Lewi Kerr wasn't great on Monday, to leave him out for an old and still injured Scott Nicholls was mind numbing, Scott hasn't even had 1 ride at this level in 12 Months and Lynn throw him in for a Final. Bad choice for me, but again, Kerr might not of made much improvement on the score. Lynn were superb at Foxhall in 2nd Leg, and it's all If's and But's, but if Iversen was riding that night, i'm not so sure Lynn would of got through, especially going on Monday and Thursday's scores, but they did and they totally deserved to go through. Now it's time for teams to complete their League Campaign's and see what the Play Offs Bring, top 4 has been welded in since the 1st week of the season, let's see how the Semi Final's pan out and hope the season finishes on a high with 6 cracking meetings. Then of course, for another day, where will UK Speedway be this time next year with what teams race and in what league. Congrats again to those Lions Riders and Supporters.....
  7. Fair enough, I don't know of any riders complaining about it either, it does have an adverse effect on viewing though imo.
  8. Tellboy what meeting did you attend last night because I was on bend 2 for the whole meeting and at no point was there excessive dust so I could not see the racing proven back by also watching the video’s back online there was never any dust to effect viewing . There was no more then any other track I have visited this season or in previous seasons.
  9. Will's GSA now down to 3.74 after 7 matches. That will do nicely if the GSA AV only cover matches in regular League season (i.e 16 maches). There are 3 matches left (1 hone - 2 away) so with Poole comfortably inplay offs and good chance the would be top. I would suggest Will is told to just enjoy getting track time & experience in those 3 matches and not push it. We could in effect see him nearer 3 than 4 which for team building 2026 would be a bonus if you factor in possible Rushen 2 - Bailey 4 plus Will on maybe 3.50. In effect 9.50 points for 3 of the brightest young talents in the sport. That would leave approx 30.5 for the top 4. Lawson 9.5/9.75 - Rowe 7.75/8(maybe lower as he is riding partly injured) - Cook or another 7.35/7.5 pus a rider maybe up to 5. You would expect Cairns to push on an add to his expected closing 2025 GSA and as for Rushen & Bailey ?. Well who knows but expect more upside in than their combined current GSA's.
  10. Today
  11. Scunthorpe (32) 1. Steve Worrall 2. Zaine Kennedy 3. Luke Harrison 4. Connor Mountain 5. Jake Allen 6. Declan Kennedy 7. Simon Lambert Workington (58) 1. Troy Batchelor 2. Fraser Bowes 3. Tate Zischke 4. Jye Etheridge 5. Antti Vuolas 6. Jacob Hook 7. Connor Coles (G) No Vinnie Foord today due to injury. As usual it won’t be an easy task at the EWR but some real encouraging performances from all of our lads over the last few weeks! Come on the Comets!
  12. not necessarily - 2ce as many meetings and easier rides within those meetings
  13. Where too, there is no one going to let us shorter people view from the front is there. In actual fact one lady pushed us out of a spot then shook the remnants out of her glass and onto my legs then duly went into the pits with her W.Cairns jacket on.
  14. Qualifying cancelled - draw 1 Pollestad 2 Drejer 3 Malkiewicz 4 Przyjemski 5 Henriksson 6 Mulford 7 Bednar 8 Andersen 9 Grmek 10 Kaulins 11 Mencel 12 McDiarmid 13 Blodorn 14 Parnitskyi 15 Przanowski 16 Thompson
  15. A little bit harsh. Yes it was the second division, but Silver Was nearly unbeatable wherever he went in 87. Breaking track records for fun.
  16. I haven't seen Cairns being moaned about from any Poole fans! seems a wind up from other teams supporters! He is 16 and already done an amazing job and he will continue that in 2026 with Poole!
  17. Silver was a very talented rider, similar to Kelly Moran in style, he had a couple of nasty crashes though and I think was never the same after them, Screen should have probably been the best English rider of recent memory he came straight into the top league as a reserve when the British League as it was then was a really high standard, even Loram had a year at Hackney before moving up. We were truly spoiled in those days Screen, Loram, Henka, T Rick, Gollob, Moran Brothers, Ermolenko, Lance King, Morton, PC all great racers and those names are just from my first sixty seconds of thought, Sean Wilson he was another one.
  18. Yes, you’d seen the racing better then. Let’s face it you never see rabbits wearing glasses.
  19. The other risk is, have we peaked too early? 2023 we did and ran out of steam at Peterborough while chasing 4th spot, last year we ran out of steam after we made the final, after the celebrations on track after making the final I did think that was a bad sign. Fricke is a pretty safe rider (despite heat 6), if injury were to come I'd chances are it to come from elsewhere (although I appreciate you can never predict injury) and then you're in the realms of Kerr, Batchelor, Sedgmen etc. for your guests and they can particularly blow hot and cold.
  20. The only risk for you now is if like Ipswich last year someone else in the top 1-3 of the side gets injured, Fricke in particular.
