IainB replied to InTheDeepStuff's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
SHEFFIELD: Jack Holder R/R, Anders Rowe, Chris Holder, Leon Flint, Josh Pickering, Jye Etheridge, Luke Killeen. LEICESTER: Ryan Douglas, Drew Kemp, Nick Morris, Dan Thompson R/R, Sam Masters, Kyle Howarth, Joe Thompson. DT confirmed as giving the Lions a miss! As will I 👎🏻 What a tin pot sport it has become in this country, I'll save myself a packet and catch some z's watching Ippo on BSN 😴 -
Definitely not rider related.
-
Far, far too progressive for the dinosaurs whose hobby he could have threatened...
-
We all pay our money and we all have an opinion. The fans called for changes ,they got one, now you don’t like it and want another one. Perhaps some have more patience than others. Lets face it , Bears are not strong this year and probably won’t win anything but is anything in speedway currently worth winning ? Some of us are just thankful that Redcar produces good racing and hope that continues.
-
Probably, but off the back of who?It would still have been Buster wouldn't it.
-
They are, but you know as well as I do that there are certain people on here (we all know who they are) who will do their very best to turn ANY positive in to some sort of negative. I’ll give it five minutes after the announcement before the first “is that it!!??” Comment appears on here 🙄
-
Big gamble if they do. Wright will need time and there isn’t much of that with a thin fixture list.
-
i would imagine he will
-
Emil coming back???? I can dream 😆

Odds On started following Best rider/s for coming from the back.

Oxford Cheetahs v Redcar Bears 24/6/26 19:30

If the Redcar reserves turn up and ride like Glasgow’s did this will be difficult for Oxford. Oxford are so weak without Riss and will need a performance from Rowe if they are to win. - Today

Could be close, but I think Oxford should have enough for all 3 points.Does R/R for Kenneth make Oxford stronger? And,if the Redcar reserves are going well, will they be given extra rides if others are struggling?Does’nt seem to have been the case lately! -
It is the SGP2 qualifiers, and Cooper Rushen isn't entering that this year so no. Will Cairns is at Krsko Ace Pijper and Max Perry at Pardubice Luke Kileen & Luke Harrison at Fjelsted It is going to make Workington's team interesting on Saturday as well as Max Perry they will also be without Tate Zishke as he's in the Denmark qualifier too.
-
Still don't think it's right, while nobody likes rider missing matches, it's more understandable when it's an away Danish rider at Poole or Oxford & can't be avoided. But in this case, Lawson must expect Poole to get extra matches in all the competitions & be aware rain-offs can happen. To me, his agreement with a Danish team should be "I'll ride when Poole don't have a fixture", if they don't agree - don't sign for them. If he's really desperate to ride in Denmark, don't sign for a Wednesday club! From Berwick's point of view, they shouldn't sign a rider who would miss Saturday meetings, one of the reasons why Kemp left. I feel this is a situation where a facility shouldn't be allowed.
-
I think the announcement is that tomorrow night's meeting has been postponed in case it rains.

Don't think it's the worst replacement for paco tbh! Wish paco all the best though never nice seeing riders struggle like he has been

Oxford Spires 2026 ?
IainB replied to old bob at herne bay's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Listening to Rohan Tungate being interviewed in Australia at the start of the year, when asked if he'd be back in the UK in 2026 he said he didn't know as there were a few issues still to be sorted from the 2025 season. -
Danny King a useful guest for the Bears, R/R for Kennett following his illness last week. Both teams will have a chance at the bonus point, Redcar leading 46-44 from the 1st leg. OXFORD: Sam Masters, Luke Killeen, Edward Kennett R/R, Mitch McDiarmid, Anders Rowe, Darryl Ritchings, Dayle Wood. REDCAR: Danny King, Ace Pijper, Simon Lambert, Jason Edwards, Jake Allen, Jake Mulford, Jody Scott.
