I’d hold fire and wait and see because those Polish articles are not always factual. Last winter they were saying there would be a one over eight rule in the Premiership and Belle Vue would have to release one of Kurtz or Bewley and that never happened.

Hopefully Chris Anders and Leon will ride like we know they are capable of doing. Nice to see both Jye and Luke really trying over the last few weeks . Last week was a very weak performance by the Team. We will need a big lead to take to Leicester if we are to reach the final .

As Phil states BV have a 3 year contract, so there will certainly be an SGP in Manchester next season, as there is no way the GP Promotors are buying themselves out of that deal, and why would they want to after 2 successful years. The only caveat I will put on that, is if the 3 year deal was contracted for 1 SGP only, and this year they have only offered BV 1 SGP and we can't make that Pay, we will know soon enough on that one. As for the long term it makes sense, if possible to have more tracks in each country that can hold a GP, Tracks in Poland come and go and come back again on the SGP calendar so why not the UK. If you have Glasgow, Manchester and Ipswich as your 3 tracks, and say we get 2 SGPs per year then you could share that between 2 tracks each year with one track missing out every 3rd year. That would add the variety and keep it spread across the UK to enable more fans to go. I think Glasgow would be good to go (not sure on the Capacity though), but the Ipswich track would need widening, its just to small for a GP IMO and would not give us the top class racing we want to see. Not saying that cant be done, but it certainly needs doing.

Absolute nonsense. Leicester have won the cup and finished 2nd can can win the playoffs Sheffield built a strong team, they will now be paying Max a big sum to ride in the play offs, they can also win it. Lynn built a team good enough to challenge with a GP number 1, for some reason it hasn't worked out. Ipswich could have gone for Doyle at anytime time, they chose not too, BV did, and that's paid off. Lets not pretend this years league is weaker than last year, it isn't. The bottom 2 last year were cannon fodder, Lynn were not much better. This year the last play off place went to the wire. Yes BV ran away with the league phase, but hats based on huge improvements of 3 riders that anyone could have signed over the years, in PK, TZ and Norrick. In fact most on here were slagging off the bottom end of the BV team back in March. It just comes across as massive sour grapes from the 2 or 3 (No more than that) Ipswich fans who were walking around waving their nobs about last season. Grow up.

He made a mistake, he is not a dirty rider. he should not have been excluded in heat 8.

I do not think Cairns needs to be careful at all, we need more riders like him. What is wrong with a bit of winding up, if riders react like Mulford did, who knows what side the referee will take.

At least that meeting silenced the Poole track haters,that was an entertaining meeting.Packed to the rafters,they must be doing something right.

Sooner they get rid of doubling up the better, it’s a sticky plaster that has been done to death. It will create a rider shortage but that will then force somebody to actually do something about it than pretend it’s not an issue. The league is only being kept afloat by doubling up and riders who would have normally long since retired by now, sooner or later though those riders will have no choice but to call it a day, better to address the issue now than after. And as far as this idea of riders needing to ride to make money, get a job, the only riders who should be full time are the riders who ride in several countries every week. Remember even when the likes of Andy Galvin was dominating the old National League, he was not a full time rider.

The decision to exclude Kyle was typical of that woman, however he was maybe lucky in heat two as I thought his back wheel touched or was very close to the white line coming off turn four.

I mentioned Kowolik the other day and unless the rules change on assessed average's then it's a no go. Don't know if he's any good but Wroclaw do have another Polish reserve in Mikolajczyk although I'm not sure on what his assessed average would be.

I am reading Simmo's book and he talks about when he took over Lynn and after the early season promise the Lynn team started falling apart (sounds familiar) and he then goes on to lambast how crowds got down to roughly 2k per meeting. Its a long while ago but I was going regularly in 88 & 89 when he mentions the 2k poor crowds and personally I don't remember them being that high other than the first 1-4 meetings when on paper it looked like we would steam role everyone and the place was absolutely packed. Anyway if Simmo was right a 2k crowd today would be classed as bumper.

Maybe the higher ups will allow riders like Jason Edwards to get fixed up in the NDL on an assessed average just to make sure that they've got another pay packet on top of the Championship in order to keep them afloat?

i couldn't be arsed if belle vue win this season or next, the sport in this country has trashed its self, and its not going to get better any time soon. its still going down hill.

Unlike previous seasons, This year there is a reason as to why Clubs haven't splashed the cash to improve their teams throughout the season in an attempt to make a challenge for the title. Promotions have basically said to Belle Vue.....You can have it, If you want it because we're not going to put a further strain on our bank accounts that could jeopardise the future of the Club moving forwards after the loss of a TV deal as well as the League format being too repetitive to a point where the majority of fans have become straight up bored of the product this year.

Lions have been very poor away from home recently and it’s difficult to see things being any different this time around.

A battling performance by the Bears in particular Charles Wright (who was brilliant) Jake Allan, Jody Scott and Jake Mulford, unfortunately as per the case all season , the team was not strong enough to get over the line. Looking ahead to next Season , I would look to keep Wright and Scott and look to add Klindt or King and then see what points are left to build the rest of the team. On a final note Will Cairns on all the occasions I've seen him seems to take great credit winding up other riders, he needs to be careful as one day he may get his comeuppance on the track or back in the pits.

Yes, we were lucky that Etheridge stepped up last week, as Holder was poor by his usual standards.

Or maybe he was alluding to the fact that those 2 teams were in the same qualifying group ? Fact is, it wasn't a one horse race back then as Sheffield still had their full 1-7 available, and that was why you failed to make the final. The loss of Holder is what has killed the season. I know somebody will comment about Kurtz being ill for the Owlerton leg, but the fact that you were smashed that day shows what happens when your number 1 rider is unavailable. Now try riding 2/3rds of the season like that !!
