  1. Past hour
  2. Not if they wore a pair of shorts they wouldn’t
  3. Postage and packing is down to the sender
  4. They would need very deep pockets to run matches without any income... And then pray their outgoings will get covered by enough people coming through the doors when the novelty has worn off.. Especially, if say played six, lost six, is their record up to their opening night.. Best of luck though to those trying to make it happen... Doubling Up is desperately needed so probably four or five riders will be relying on those team places..
  5. He dropped what he was asking from Belle Vue to get a ride at Ipswich.
  6. Northampton could race away from home to build up a profile in the local media before starting their home fixtures at say either of the May Bank Holidays. That gives them a minimum of 8 weeks to sort everything out.
  7. Has there been any news on when Sheffield P&P is taking place? Seen a few other tracks announce theirs on socials
  8. Yes that's fair comment in terms of the electrics, but people on here are talking as if a new structure would be required. Stock cars use traffic lights for signalling to drivers, so there are multiple sets of lights all the way round the track which could be utilised for the 'race stop'. The existing box also has LED lighting built into it externally so that the whole box lights up in green, yellow, or red to signify current race conditions.
  9. Today
  10. The point is that the date was announced as Press and Practice.Obviously the whole Team would not be available on that date.!!
  11. Today’s going to be a Fabrizio Romano sort of day
  12. Seems the new owner's are changing quite a bit, and to be fair, probably the right thing to do, start with a complete overhaul. The Kevin Long thing isn't something we didn't know about as he said at the Presentation Evening in November he was retiring, bit surprised by the Love in Yesterday, as he got rewarded on Presentation evening. Yes he has been very loyal, and as ive been going since 1980, he was one of the better ones in the League over a long period of time, but things change, and i know he will be hard to replace, but he will be replaced and we hope the next person in is just as good, over the past few years in my opinion, there are certainly better people on the microphones at other clubs than Kevin, So Thanks again Mr Long for your service, but definitely the right time to be walking away. As for the Chris Louis Video, watched it....Once, That's enough, Move On. As it's been said by so many people(And i'm not saying they are wrong)we are lucky we have got Speedway At Foxhall for 2026,but for me this season, i certainly will watch Kings Lynn at home most weeks and hopefully the odd Thursday trip to Leicester, not forgetting supporting Jordan Jenkins for the odd weekend up in Redcar. So thankfully the Speedway diary is as full as can be expected, Manchester included, so let's get it started.
  13. There will be a need to put in the appropriate electrics & controls for a starting gate, and lights for starting procedures, green x 2, the four rider “exclusion” colours, and yellows for two minute warning protocols. I’m not sure if the required red “race stop” lights are already in situ for stox.
  14. Yes, there is a box on the home straight where the steward, lap scorer, commentator, etc are housed, but people on this thread talking about what will need to be built keep including a ref's box so I assumed they were confident none of the existing infrastructure is suitable. 😉
  15. Mikkel Bech has come out of retirement and signed for Slangerup.
  16. They could bring him along to the Northampton Speedway grand opening to meet his speedway Bartosz namesake... I reckon a 7 May opening night, and plenty of time to fit 10 home league matches in. If it all happens, I'll be aiming to be at opening night as long as I haven't got any other commitment.
  17. Yesterday
  18. He didn’t make much impact at Leicester City a few years ago
  19. Yes i gather Northampton Town are hopeful of signing Bartosz Kapustka
  20. Yes they do, I’m not saying I like it but you have to cater for want the public want and things like Bracknell like him or hate him get views and generate interest
  21. Got my tickets for the South stand as prefer to be on the straight and won't pay the grandstand prices. However, I thought the East stand prices weren't bad. You can't get most Premier League tickets for these prices. Next week is the Cheltenham Festival (4 days). A comparable ticket to the South stand is £90 per day and over £100 on the Friday. Their hotel prices are way over £300 per night. They get an average of about 50,000 a day. Yes, it's different! We all love speedway and to see the best in the world take each other on at the NSS is worth it to me for 2 nights. It's expensive, but in line. Wroclaw is brilliant also, signs are all around the town and it's great, but it's great cos they have a great track also. Lots love Prague (not been to the SGP) and I like the city, but the track is in general average (not always). I go for good racing and need to go to Torun which if prepped right is also excellent. I suppose we can all put a value on any trip, but one things for sure like everything in the UK. Prices will only go up. Most of us have a bit of disposable income and we all have decisions to make on how we spend it. 👍
  22. It proved a point in that I watched it once - now everytime i see him I flick off the video and don't watch it cos i think he is a grade A weapon - it worked once never to work again with me. Your right in that the public now (largely) have the attention span of a goldfish and value style over substance.
  23. The "Press" part can be done for cameras, etc, (the clue is in the name) anytime the team is assembled, and race-suits are ready. The "practice" part could allow the remaining five plenty of track-time as PK and Nick are "practising" at Glasgow.
  24. Agree totally. The sport faced a tough winter, and to come out of it with a 6-team league (as we've had in the past) is something of a miracle. Let's hope we can add Coventry and others for 2027 and really start moving forward. I'm hearing TV deals and corporate sponsor deals are making progress. Maybe if we had a bit more positivity from "fans" getting out there and spreading the message, who knows? Hopefully we'll see fixtures at weekend. Then we just need the news that Northampton have signed Bartosz...
  25. I think the P&P will be changed now. You can’t have it without two of your top riders
