Cairns and Rowe already signed for next season, can't really see Lawson going anywhere else, not so sure about Zach

yes like Mercenary footballers đ Whilst to us and speedway in general these are big losses / donations etc its small fry - the reason so many football clubs are in financial trouble is the old school traditional English / or Scottish cairman is long gone as so many no longer have the fortunes required to keep up! As you suggest mercenary speedway riders have largely been the benefit as are mercenary footballers - but in some respects fans ourselves are part of the issue - certainly in football always wanting bigger teams and to play at a higher level, its all part of the circle!

Well with the final meeting to count towards averages on Wednesday for 2026, it gives us food for thoughtâŚ. Cairns 3.81 Lawson 9.59 Rowe 7.38 Zach 7.34

My understanding is he was propping it up by ÂŁ12k to ÂŁ13k a meeting - these were his losses after gate receipts. Operating costs for Premiership home meetings begin with a 2 almost a 3 in some cases

As expected RR for Ellis is way below what he would usually score. They need him back for September. -

It certainly looks like it.They wouldn't get the extra 5% on his average for their home matches then, and would have to have a guest if he isn't fit. -

A good night's racing and a confidence booster for the Tigers with the play-offs looming and Leicester looking the likely opponents in the semis. Embarrassing comments in this thread about Steady though. His record as manager of both Sheffield and Great Britain is pretty decent with Championship, Premiership and KO Cup, plus 2 SON titles. Just imagine what he could have achieved if he knew what he was doing !! -

Solid nightâs work for the guys, no big guns in 15, got to give Brennan his dues he rode like a number 5 tonight and his bike was like a rocket! Edwards great battle to hold off Iversen in 8. Thompson looked more like his usual foxhall self in his first outing but tailed off. Emil and Doyle looked good without really needing to break a sweat. Picked up three points and move onto the next. -

Adam could be at reserve according to the averages on the British speedway website. Think you should have some scope to have your top 5 wherever you want. -

A decent nightâs racing with Jack looking pretty imperious and a fairly comfortable win despite both Chris and Picko not being quite as on it as usual. Cracking ride by Morris to second on the line. If I was going to whinge⌠what was with the booing of Howarth when he won his final ride?? Only a few people, but seriously? Brilliant servant of the club for years, he deserves better than that. -

Enjoyed this also - the tone was set on heat one with the 5-1 - another decent opening ride from Anders Rowe! Leicester huffed and puffed a bit and they didnât have the needed backup for Douglas and Fricke - got to commend Jack H for his heat 6 last lap overtake of Sam Masters - Likewise the impressive Morris who never gave up in heat 14 to claim 2nd in the line by fractions of a second! Heat 15 saw a good battle at Fricke tried to reel in JackH just failing - just one more lap and he might have but thatâs âif yer Aunty had balls territoryâ! -
