No comparison really, these motocross events really know how to put on a show .
-
The truth is you are simply part of the problem.
-
so by your logic when the prem is finished (which will probably be next year )everyone in the champ will have to retire..š¤£
-
They have little interest in rider development down Ippo way with their single junior meeting... erm ever š
-
Somebody has to speak the truth. If some youngsters can't cut it in the CHAMP then they've got no chance of cutting it against much better opposition in the PREM. The ones who are good enough at CHAMP level, All get opportunities at PREM level.
-
I can't believe you've just said youngsters should quit if they can't cut it in the championship.....Shocking . So by your shameful logic if you ain't good enough just quit. There's already a rider shortage you'd just make it worse .
-
Lynn fans always enjoy their speedway also helps that the three lads named should be core England lads in 5-7 years so long as they avoid big smashes and aren't expected to jump to high to soon and have confidence smashed as we have seen with many English decent young prospects over the years.

2026 Premiership is Go! - At least 5 teams
YeOldPitGate replied to RoundTheBoards's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Yes wasn't a great outcome when Rob couldn't name the fella who's supposed to be one of the saviours. -
I can't recall a time where Howarth has been dropped by a PREM Club. Simon Lambert may as well quit if I'm being brutally honest, Youngsters who can't cut it in the CHAMP may as well quit too. Drew Kemp is lucky that Leicester exist because he's done nothing but cost Leicester trophies over the last couple of years and he's got a quitters mentality at PREM level tbh.

Continuing the hospital analogy, it's about time that these "bed blocker" riders that are holding the sport to ransom are sent to dignitas if they refuse to stop doubling up and let some of the maternity ward patients have an opportunity (young riders). I'm sure that after a period in the real world on the building sites that many will soon be back realising that they can make it pay after all. Some of them only have a few years left in the sport anyway and are just hoping that the sport lasts long enough to give them a last few easy paydays.
-
Suspect he will get the 8 percent reduction whether people like it or not

Or possibly suspended animation. It maybe a bit harsh to suggest dead, comatose or waiting for the men in white coats is a more likely scenario. Having said that most of those in charge seem to have suspended any animation they had and the quick fix is more like a trip to A&E. Stuck in a corridor with little hope of ever being seen let alone a diagnosis as to what is wrong with the sport. Still as those on the top table believe all is well and nothing to see here. The sport in this country is fine.
-
That's an assumption. He could easily drop form ..Simon Lambert ain't got a prem club . Should he quit speedway? What about some of the younger riders not good enough for the premiership yet. Should they quit and also and hold the fans and clubs to ransom? Drew Kemp will likely get dropped again at some point, I imagine he earns much less than Kyle in the championship. Quit again? Connor Mountain? I could go on...

Speedway has always relied on the racing being the entertainment, they are only just realising i think that kids racing seems a good spectacle and brings in the kids that speedway needs. people now want proper entertainment for their money. Stop playing crap music on loop and sitting on the steps having a fag all evening like at Scunny. Do what Scunny Untd do and see if u can get a band, put a Dj on the centre green, maybe have theme nights in the summer, best hawiaan shirt contest or a hog roast evening or the sweet stall that Sheffield had
-
Well done on the promotion on bringing in a new british rider. Some of the best british youth have came in with scrutiny regarding previous seasons and not the potential they possess.
-
Riders like Kyle never get dropped.
-
Lynn looked to have a decent hard core support for NDT last year. Some local lads with Scott ,Harrison and Rushen entertained by and large. Caught peopleās imagination.
-
Tyson Fury keeps saying heās quitting aswell. Believe it when I see it.
-
And thatās the mentality that closed Buxton down last time, the sport never learns from our mistakes
-
So let's say Kyle Howarth gets dropped by Leicester this year for poor form and doesn't find another club. Should he quit Glasgow?
-
-
Told everyone all winter that riders would quit if one big league were to happen. CHAMP Clubs can't afford to pay them what PREM Clubs do.
-
Would have to find a job that pays silly money.

Theres always been a decent hardcore at Lynn even when I started going in 84 we were truly awful until Bill Barker took over and brought in the dream team that also flopped .From possibly 84-87 we were woeful but the crowds held up pretty well. When Barker and Simmo took over and we looked powerhouse, opening match there must have been 4-5k turn up. I also remember when Poole turned up one bank hol Monday with Holder and Ward and Buster said it was the best crowd since the mid 70's which again proved run on the right days for the punters with half attractive teams and they will come.
