  1. Past hour
  2. I suspect the latter, but they were joined by a few others that are no longer around but the irony is that Buxton are coming back whilst the teams that broke the wage structure are no longer around, maybe if they had stuck to the basic £10 point and 10p per mile they to may have still been around.

  4. I think he was saying Northampton happening 90% Ipswich happening 99% Yes lost TV Coverage but should get it back in future, probably TNT again. SFL is looking very promising, goal is to get to Poland Levels. NDL 6 teams is about right for the amount of riders available. Should be 6 good teams. Disclaimer: This is what I interpreted he was saying.
  5. Well if its all a Pipe dream i will be sorry as i think there are better options out there.
  6. if hes not at scunny id say thats a good shout wouldnt mind him at reserve but not sure about no 2 hes a great servant to speedway and on his day can score well maybe the change will do him good
  7. No they said on the podcast that he doesn’t currently have a team place
  8. Fair enough, which ones are better please. I will have to watch them.
  9. Only just read this, RIP Bob, he spent something of an Indian summer with the Heathens he came as someone who could pick up an odd point or two having suffered from injuries which affected his points scoring, by the end of the 1977 season he was again capable of beating anyone except the very top riders and was a vital cog in a very good Cradley Heath team, he retired from British speedway at the end of the season, from everyone at Cradley Heath we send our condolences to family and friends.
  10. rodenticide Pesticide on its way to you by dpd. Enjoy.🤣
  11. If those hopes came from anybody else other than the person that has led us to where we are today I'd be a bit more enthused... forgive me if I'm not 😢
  12. Personally I found it a hard watch, the interviewer rambles a bit, only got about 12 minutes in, but Godfrey did say a deal for Northampton was 90% done 😗 unless I picked it up wrong
  13. Today
  14. Steady on Iain! Too many questions causes confusion lol
  15. I think all of that was covered in various detail. He spoke mostly about Speedway Futures and the high hopes he has for it. Worth a listen.
  16. Mind you, lets face it, once you announce there will be no more speedway, attendance will understandably tail off. I remember the last season at Rayleigh, the gate was awful!
  17. Was he asked about Northampton? Or Ipswich? Or tv coverage? Or SFL? Or why the NDL has been stripped back to bare bones?
  18. Would disagree with that, production is always fairly poor if you ask me
  19. A nice 4 page interview with Matt Ford in the Speedway Star this week
  20. Cheers TDM. Will listen to it later sounds interesting.
  21. I cant see Northampton attracting enough people through the turnstiles to make any huge investment worthwhile, Birmingham didnt attract many fans from Wolverhamton, Cradley Heath or Coventry when you look at their gates last season and they are in the middle of what was once a speedway hotbed.
  22. Rob talking a good game hopefully at least 50% of what he thinks will happen will come to fruition lord knows the sport needs a massive shot in the arm.
