Kerr has certainly been impressive lately and I would not be against having him back especially as his average has dropped. I would say he wasnt messed about by Premiership clubs but more that he let himself down by poor performances which led to him getting dropped. If Zach is not at Poole then it has to be Lawson,Kerr,Rowe, Cairns, Rushen as a start.

Have to agree, should continue to improve and gives good value for his GSA.
-
lol of course it wasnt, stop making stuff up.

šš„ø Sorry mate; went along on Friday night, then had a busy weekend. Gutted, but what a meeting. All credit to both sets of riders who left nothing in the pits. Thatās all I wanted on Wednesday night too, but felt the track didnāt allow for it. Thatās done though. Iām gutted we lost in such heartbreaking circumstances, but give me a tie over two legs and a loss in the race-off every single season if weāre served that sort of racing. An absolute pleasure. I hope everyone enjoyed it. This fantastic sport might be struggling, but Glasgow and Poole, take a bow. Both sets of riders were like gladiators.

Personally I think Poole would be crazy to let Lewis Kerr go , especially if Zach Cook does not ride Championship. Lewis can be high maintenance and his confidence levels can drop, especially when he keeps getting messed about by PL Clubs chopping and changing. He would be ideal though with Lawson and Rowe as a spearhead and there would be none better.

Ipswich Witches 2025
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv replied to Aries's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
With the RS it is the case that if you retain the rider from the previous season then this overrides the pick With Dan moving out of RS eligibility and Jordan back into the scheme I think it was this situation that was invoked -

Birmingham got Keynan Rew who ended up as their 2nd highest average rider....... -
Doesn't matter where you put them, if Poland are not involved the Poles will not turn up for the semi-finals. The attendance for the SoN semi's at Torun this year was derisory. When Bydgoszcz & Leszno have hosted the SWC race-off previously the attendances have been poor. I'd host the semi's & race-off elsewhere... Güstrow, Pardubice & Daugavpils if they want to keep it central Europe. Just as an example: Semi 1 (Güstrow): Germany Denmark Sweden Qualifier 1st to final, 2nd to race-off. Semi2 (Pardubice): Czech Rep Australia Great Britain Qualifier 1st to final, 2nd to race-off. Race-off (Daugavpils): Latvia 2nd Semi 1 2nd Semi 2 Highest scoring 3rd placed team from Semi 1 & Semi 2.

Because thatās the system they voluntarily agree to enter into. They arenāt going in blind. Thereās too much rider power now. Before long everyone will ride for Belle Vue because nobody wants to ride for the other clubs.
-
that would be a very strong team. I was told by someone close to the family that Ryan Ingram was lined up for the 2 point rider for 2026 very early in 2025 as part of the deal to sign for NDL Plymouth team. Everything he has done this season only enhances that prospect in my opinion.

Glasgow Tigers 2026
TheWellBehavedWorrall replied to SilentLurker's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Gutted 2025 is over and canāt wait for 2026. Looking forward to the team building this winter. This season, we announced all seven riders at once (although several were known in advance). Iām not sure how I feel about that again; one-by-one announcements or all at once. Personally, I want Harris back. Heās remarkable. Iām almost lost for words, heās that entertaining. As Iām sure every Tigers fan would, Iād welcome back Nagel, but I imagine heāll have bigger priorities on the continent. Who knows? Iād also welcome back Flint. I was hugely critical of his early season form, but not only did he improve, but he appears to have become a big presence in the pits. I think Hodder has shown signs of development too, so Iād happily see him back at Ashfield next season. I canāt imagine Thompson will entertain the Championship next season and Iām still a bit scunnered by Howarthās showings in heat 15 and the race-off, so right now, Iām not keen. Perryās given 100%, but I think itās clear heās struggled, especially in recent weeks while Hodder has improved. New signings? Loftus from Edinburgh looks like heās got a lot of promise. -
šš„ø What a meeting. Absolutely heartbreaking, but f**king hell, what a speedway meeting. As I said in the Poole topic, a massive congratulations to the Pirates who did as they so often do and deliver when the chips are down. That was a captainās performance from Zach Cook. The racing was remarkable; some of the best Iāve seen. Inside, outside, Glasgow, Poole, ding, dong, back and forth. If you could bottle Friday night, British speedway would be prime time on Sky Sports. 100%. It had everything and more. That Harris pass in heat 15, the one where Harris passed two at the same time, Kerr on Flint, Harris versus Lawson, Lawson throwing everything at Howarth, Howarth bullying Cook and Cook responding by taking the trophy back to Dorset. Honestly, wow. What a sport. Speedway won on Friday night, not just Poole. It was a pleasure as always, Pirates.

I am a big fan of the RS system, probably a few times riders who have not been the strongest options have been picked, which is the clubs fault not the systems fault. As long as there are at least 5/6 riders with a Champ average over 3, then I'd keep the system, don't want to force any riders weaker than that up. I agree it's not ideal to that there can be a big gap between ability, each club having 2 RS could solve that i.e whoever gets first pick also gets last pick, but there may not be enough talent to have 2 per club (unless upping the higher limit from 4.00). Think we'll always agree to disagree on the RS system anyway š

Massive congratulations to Poole. Iāve been vocal about Wimborne Road and will continue to be, but Friday night was a champions performance. It was heartbreaking as a Glasgow fan, but what a battle. It meant so much to both teams. The gradually developing Tigers versus Pirates rivalry is fantastic for British speedway. I thought although there was a lot of racing left, Cook and Kerrās wins in heats 12 and 14 swung the momentum in your direction. The chips were down and those race wins over Thompson and Flint, sadly for us, were huge. Honestly, congratulations. Another stellar season for the Pirates which will likely end in a treble. Enjoy.
-
Probably an unrealistic team, but a title winning one imo Chris Harris Kyle Howarth Leon Flint Nick Morris Mitchell McDiarmid Jordy Loftus Cooper Rushen * I know Rushen is rumoured for Poole, but until he's 16 can't sign a contract, who knows maybe after watching the play-off final would rather ride at Ashfield than Wimbourne Road lol! I'd expect Loftus to return to Edinburgh, but would've said the same thing about Bewley in 2017!
-
Yeah, I don't mind that idea at all.
-
Sounds great that
-
Fair enough. I reckon if Champ clubs want more riders who won't miss so many matches, need to lower the limit & include more NDL riders, no doubt fans would moan about the league being weaker though!

The best option that I think most would agree with would be let the BSN crew produce the live coverage but use TNT broadcast infrastructure and their OB providers. People seem to forget that what TNT did and what BSN did were on totally different levels with Millions of pounds of equipment used for TNT matches where as BSN used lesser equipment and broadcast an internet stream which really showed with Leicester and Ipswich being a great example BSN really struggled with the lighting when itās dark making it look dull and hard to make out the riders where as TNT made it ok as they had the equipment to do it.

Seems to have duplicated could a mod delete this one please ?

Hopefully another season at the tapes and one Iām really looking forward to with a good back end of the season with the new riders and crowds of 1000 plus regularly. Hopefully we can carry in this good work. obviously rules and points etc will change and maybe slightly early to Chuck teams out there but as a rough guess⦠1- Klindt - I feel he may have a new club abroad and be able to ride therefore for Plymouth on the regular if not would need to find a new number 1. 2- Tobias does not sound like he will be in pooles plans next year and seems to go well round Plymouth. 3- 6.83 - maybe Joe Thompson if he is keen to come back but would like to see his away scores improve. 4- barker seems like a shoe in and great support for the top 3 especially at home. 5- Scotty Nichols hopefully heās back all the interviews at the track heās done and online seems to show he likes it but thatās not to say he will be just hope we can convince him. 6- Klima hopefully he will be back as he showed really good promise in the couple of meetings he did do for us. 7- 2.00 rider that hopefully can improve if only slightly. Would be really gutted to see bowtell go however I just think we need to score more points away from home collectively and feel Tobias and Klima will do that more regularly.

I'd be very happy if he did.

May have re-signed for the stars.

The contract already signed could be for his French club!
