  1. Past hour
  2. Well another week another struggle for the pilots oh dear 😁 think the bonus point is Plymouth's to lose, with the home track advantage they have, will be a big noisy crowd cheering them on, good luck from oop north
  3. Just got back and a decent win but the track tonight was frankly rubbish. Underwatered, hardly any passing and plenty of races spread out. Gate 4 was the place to be if the rider was brave enough to blast around the outside. It was a packed out Wimborne Road which is great to see. So many come along to watch the Pirates. Just a shame the show put on is just not good enough. Track needs a big makeover, no doubt about it. As for Plymouth, we’ll take a bow Dan Thompson. Did more than a good enough job and probably scored quite a few more points than Klindt would have managed. Backed up by Scotty Nicholls who loves Wimborne Road and it was always going to be close. Frederikson backed them up and with a few Poole riders far from their best, it turned out as I expected. Hope Ben Barker hasn’t broken anything. It was a nasty tumble while under severe pressure from Anders Rowe. He lifted entering the third bend, looked to be heading for the fence, over corrected and ended up flying over the handlebars exiting the fourth bend. For Poole Lawson was his usual excellent self. Tobias poor, Kerr let a silly third place go on the last bend when not concentrating, Cook poor never looked like winning a heat and looked like he was standing still when Nicholls passed him, Rowe tried but not got the form of earlier this season. Starke did his job, and Cairns showed good form until his last ride when he was completely asleep at the tapes. We really do need to step up our form, but at the same time we are still winning. The track needs attention though, sooner rather than later.
  4. Looked like Poole could not team ride, faster rider slow start so not allowed past to chase the Plymouth fast starter
  5. Im fed up of the excuses by these so called 'professional' clubs.

  7. Good performance by Plymouth. Apart from Lawson Poole struggled for heat winners. Glasgow and Edinburgh both looking to be better teams than Poole at present.
  8. superb result for the Bears tonight, well done to all, but big thanks to Leon for his services.
  9. Well done Plymouth … best reserve missing and only really 2 riders What is wrong at Poole ?
  10. Poole have only 1 Heatleader who is consistent this season that is the difference.
  11. I'm speechless but so proud. What an unbelievable effort by the Gladiators. Let's not lose sight of the fact they were without Alfie Bowtell to start with. Ben having to withdraw very early into the meeting but they kept going and showed unreal fight for the badge. To push a full strength Pirates side that close at home, something we haven't done for a very long time shows just how good a group this side is. It's going to be some night at Plymouth on Saturday where crowds have been big and loud all season. It's kids fancy dress night too so expecting a good atmosphere. Guest choices for Plymouth will be key here but what an opportunity in front of them to get another 3pts. The playoffs might be a long way off but there's life in their chances for sure. Looking forward to covering this one on Gladiators TV, hope those who can't make it enjoy our coverage of what should be a cracking night of speedway - as it has been so many times in Plymouth this year already
  12. Poole struggling again it seems to put away a side at home The loss of Barker hasn’t helped and the reserves are poor so basically a two man Plymouth team keeping it close which is amazing Poole are out of form maybe they can find it come the play offs
  13. Today
  14. Why is the Oxford track always so slick and dusty? It seems to me the water truck is woefully inadequate in putting enough water down at a time. a Scunthorpe sized water truck would be much more effective in my opinion. I know they are limited to when they can have access to the track but with a better water truck the track could be soaked far earlier
  15. Without his score you might just lose tonight though.
  16. God forbid that minor breaches of rules & regulations are allowed to slide - surely not in speedway?!
  17. The SCB was rightly criticised for implementing a regulation against Workington, because they never stated which regulation it was. I e-mailed to ask, and never even had the courtesy of a reply.
  18. Did the Lemon say anything to Bewley and Kurtz before the Stupid Heat? Bewley throttle-jockeying off into the distance was of no use to the Aces - if he at least tried to hold up Sayfutdinov, and maybe even let Sayfutdinov go so he could try help Kurtz ... as it was his huge margin of victory in the race was of no benefit at all, when he could have at least tried all-or-nothing.
  19. I don't often feel I need to stand up for SCB, but, in this case I do. If they don't implement the regulations they get rightly criticised, but when they do pull up a transgression they still get criticised. Perhaps for next season we could have an asterisk beside regulations that are discretionary.
  20. It will be a great Sheffield team that you'll have next season with Musielak in it and Woffinden back! You won't see much action though with Birmingham gone and two other clubs seriously considering dropping down to the Championship - so I'd suggest that you be careful of what you wish for!!
  21. OK ..... Ben Barker is prone to accidents. Hope he's OK and not badly hurt.
