  1. Past hour
  2. Nonsenses this is 3 world class riders your talking about, not 1 and 2 juniors. Emil should be doing so much better on his home track, no excuses for any of them.
  3. Always good to see what a secondary bookie thinks !! Bet 365 have all riders quoted on their less, exact and more market. These are the points figures for exact 20 heats only Zmarzlik 11 Kurtz 11 MJJ 10 Bewley 9 Doyle 9 Lindgren 9 Lebedevs 8 J Holder 8 Michelsen 7 Fricke 7 Lambert 7 Thomsen 7 Kubera 5 Vaculik 5 Kvech 4 Huckenbeck 3
  4. There is a glimmer of light at the end of the dark winter tunnel that speedway faces of that I’m now convinced
  5. I was given an Aces scarf as part of my season ticket package the other season. Very nice it was too. I agree with you that other clubs should follow suit.
  6. He only scored 7 in a league meeting for Swindon before the GP round at Teterow in 2017, when double figure scores were the norm that season. Like Brady, it was just a bad night and there is no need for bogus conspiracy theories to be made up in either of these instances.
  7. The Directors of Speedway Futures Ltd are Neil Clayton (whose background seems to be mainly as an Insurance Broker), Rob Godfrey, Chris Louis and Rob Painter. Registered address is ACU house, Rugby!!!

  9. Brady isn’t great at Ipswich but the timing of the meeting has made some see a lack of effort on his part when this wasn’t the case, it was just Brady at Ipswich. What was the reason for his low scores there earlier in the season? Last year Brady’s most important world championship meeting was the GP challenge, in some ways more important than today’s meeting as the long term financial benefits of being part of the GP circus are huge for a rider and it was something he had missed out on time and time again. The day before he won the challenge he rode unbeaten for The Aces as our captain leading us to another league title. Rather than make up a conspiracy that isn’t there maybe focus your attention on why three of the most spectacular riders in world speedway were unable to strut their stuff in one of the most high profile meetings of the domestic season.
  10. Today
  11. But as you know, he wouldn’t have. Always gives 100%, considering the amount of injuries he’s had, never afraid to get stuck in, and a real pleasure to watch.
  12. Who knows what is happening with the leagues next season, so could be next season
  13. Tuesday’s 2nd leg line-ups Wroclaw v Torun ( 49-40) Wroclaw 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 Torun 1 2 3 4 5 6 7
  14. Have they? They take British riders away from league fixtures on a regular basis to go and finish well down the finishing order on the continent and have only staged 2 Test Matches (both at Glasgow) in the last 5 years. They've failed to get any kind of exposure since twice winning the SoN and the only chance the fans get to hear of what's going on is by following them on social media that seems more interested in pushing the wares of their sponsors and running some kind of lottery. Yes, they're doing a better job of running the GB Speedway Team than their predecessors but you have to ask to what end?
  15. If you keep an eye on the FIM speedway instagram page this morning they might stream some races on there. Edit just seen some action on their facebook page.
  16. If you told me we’d win by 14 before the meeting I would’ve bit your hand off, but feel we let them off the hook last night at that should’ve really won by more. Heat 12 should’ve been pulled back as Klindt jumped it how he missed that god knows. Conceding two 5-1s to Hodder at home is really poor, no offence to him but shouldn’t be happening, could potentially cost us in the 2nd leg. 14 points to take to Ashfield not entirely convinced we will hold on to that but we will give it a good go that’s for sure.
  17. I fear 1973 all over again Morris & Co will make it gate - go and we know what that means ! Hope BZ wins the final by half wheel having passed everyone else !
  18. Sad news due to the weather is that today’s meeting has had to be cancelled.
  19. Thing is though, no rider is ever judged from just one meeting, it’s normally down to a history of not being invested in certain meetings, pulling out of certain meetings etc Brady isn’t the first and won be the last, I would say KK is probably the go to rider when it comes to picking a choosing when he can be bothered. I try to put myself in the Belle Vue fan position, say back in the day, Lakeside were in a play off and AJ was contesting a GP final and only scored three points away prior to such final, I don’t think I would be angry, but I would be very disappointed, as even if he went onto win the series, how would that help Lakeside especially if the following season he decided to quit racing in the UK. I think what you have to remember is, winning the league is your clubs title, a rider winning the World Championship, isn’t your clubs title, the rider is representing his country, not one of the two or three clubs he rides for every week, although it is an added bonus to say your tracking the World Championship the following season if you retain him. If I was an Ipswich fan, Brady not wanting it, is Aces loss, and come the end of the season will be soon forgotten but I can still understand how they feel because such attitudes could easily be replicated on mass if the sport in this country doesn’t sort itself out, if clubs start to fall because riders have too much power, the whole deck of cards fall with it.
  20. With the current trend of appalling decision making you'll be lucky if the points limit is 35 next year, with 6 man teams and regional leagues with 1h/1a!
  21. Youth Championship at Armadale today has sadly had to be cancelled. I really feel sorry for the kids and their parents
  22. Vicky Blackwell is the personal and business partner of Rob Painter who seems to be a Director of Speedway Futures ltd. Both have done outstanding work as creators of Team GB Speedway since taking it over.
  23. anybody else expecting a dreadful non racing track tonight?....the absolute pinnacle of the season and i worry that it will be a track throwing up pure boredom.
