  1. Past hour
  2. How many times can this guy say Poland....
  3. Rained heavily last night as well. Your comment is irrelevant as well you know as that never happens.
  4. If you look at my earlier post referring to the met office forecast, it was mentioning heavy rain from 5 and between 80-95% chance of rain after 1700 hrs.
  5. weather looks dodgy for this one . Showers all afternoon and evening according the the met office forecasts. in line with poole and oxford this week will Ippo take advantage of the early call off due to weather forecast option. ?
  6. I understand that but the circumstances around both call offs are different which you’re failing to understand. Poole because of a forecast and Oxford because of a saturated track.
  7. Good points, but it should be a comfortable win for you.
  8. Certainly some up and coming talent on show at this meeting. Good to see these lads giving it everything.
  9. No it wasn't. I spent a lot of time looking at forecasts and rainfall radar yesterday (as I went to Wight Warriors). The forecasts all predicted light showers starting somewhere between 7 and 9 with possibly heavier rain arriving between 9 and 11. None of that falls into the category of 'very bad'. And throughout the day the rainfall radar suggested those forecasts were accurate. It didn't start raining in Poole until around 9pm and unless you have the worst prepared track in speedway the meeting should easily have been completed before it became unrideable. [And anyway where rain is threatened most meetings are completed by 9pm anyway]
  10. We have given him a bit of stick in the past especially when he broke the pit phone only banter but he wasn't happy, did the same with cami who was brilliant and a good laugh
  11. But the forecast was very bad, you can't always wait for it to happen before you decide to call it off.
  12. It was absolutely chucking it down with rain last night and I doubt very much the meeting would have gone ahead even if we had dry day. Much heavier than last week when the meeting with Leicester was called off. it’s also been raining during today. You had no rain and called a meeting off so totally different.
  13. Love the comments of the poole manager in the "star" saying he gets grief when he goes away, when was the last time he was north of watford 🤣
  14. I don't disagree. I'm simply illustrating that other sports already do the same. There are a whole host of things that clubs could do to make meetings more of an event and greater value for money - most of which have been floated on here any number of times. There is endless free information available on the internet that shows tried and trusted methods used by other sports to engage fans and grow crowds. For whatever reason most clubs ignore that It may well be that the lesser difference in standard between riders is why some people prefer the Championship to the Premiership.
  15. Today
  16. Putting prices up won’t solve the value for money issue. Mondays meeting was mediocre and won’t have them flocking back. The difference in the standard of riders will always make League Meetings ordinary .IMO Great Racetrack though.
  17. If this is on, then I expect Ipswich to win by about 20 points. Brady and Dan will put up a fight but ultimately Belle Vue’s lower end will cost them.
  18. was expecting more from blodorn, some days very good then not so good, he is still very young, 22, i think, . it is a tuff sport. mentally and physically, so may be more time ??
  19. And just like that, a Poole fan has proven your point 😄😄 Clear as day difference from a meeting simply called off on forecast and one largely called off because of rain that has already arrived.
  20. It's raining now and not due to stop for another 3 hours ....
