  1. Past hour
  2. The exposure and viewing figures could possibly be less than BSN so not worth it as most sports fans will likely have a Sky sports and possibly TNT subscription but will not pay out an extra £10-17 a month for Premier sports. In fact back in June it was found at times there was a lot more people watching for free streaming on firestick and such like that than there was using official services
  3. Sure you're not still just angry about the Louis / Ipswich saga and somehow put it as a whole British Speedway thing??
  4. I don't understand what you are basing these wild claims on. Pickering will be off come what may (he only signed for Scunny because he priced himself out of a place in Poland) Zack Cook will drop the Championship as part of his natural progression like dozens of other riders have done before ( e.g. Ben Cook, Tom Brennan) Dan Thompson has a real decision to make: does he want to watch speedway in Lodz or ride speedway in Edinburgh? If the latter as Lisa suggests then we haven't lost him. Masters/Lawson/Flint/Jeppesen/Wright etc ride in tier 3 so are not affected I hardly think King, Batchelor and Harris et al are going to resume their Polish careers Nor do I see the likes of Etheridge, Edwards or Sedgmen attracting Ekstraliga interest. So the sum total of riders at risk appears to be: Anders Rowe (and possibly Dan Thompson). Isn't the bigger risk that riders may drop the Premiership to protect Swedish or Danish contracts?
  5. We should be supporting all clubs at this time not wishing that the championship is "finished". Poole and Glasgow didn't move up quite rightly because the 2 clubs who has done it the year before it had gone very badly for. When we get a Premiership that is attractive enough that teams want to move up they will. This could happen in 2027 but most likely if clubs see 2027 as a success they will move up in 2028. Poole and Glasgow are great clubs but they need to survive themselves. If both had been forced to go up last year and then gone bust we would be in a much worse position now.
  6. Agree Neil, you could have 50,000 signatures.no money no speedway, or just 10 signatures but pay the man tomorrow and you got speedway
  7. More chance of extra terrestrial tv than normal tv. If it was that good they'd be queuing up.
  8. Today
  9. The petition will get people from all over the country/ Europe or Australia signing it, but I think the original intention was to see who would regularly attend. So may have many thousands of signatures but only hundreds may turn up. So could be a pointless exercise
  10. Think everyone just got fed up in the end last winter as it was just dragging on for too long.
  11. Refusal to put British Speedway first for start. Roles will be reversed from last winter, PREM Clubs will be the one's holding all the cards now to a point where CHAMP Clubs are the ones with a lot to lose. CHAMP is finished now, Heat Leaders will be offski with the Polish ruling and to make matters even worse for them, Kildemand and Nicholls are retiring as well.
  12. Would need massive investment to do that surely ? They can’t even get a licence to run NDL because of how dangerous the fence is
  13. I'd take that with a pinch of salt tbh. Money talks.
  14. If Ellis regards Ipswich as his speedway home why did he jump ship this year. Its more than likely its his speedway home when he's looking for a place next year.
  15. Have you told Dan T this as he said he is going to do Prem and Champ next season as just doing Poland and one other league is not enough racing.
  16. In what way did Championship clubs get to big for their boots? Why would 2027 come back & bite them?
  17. I hope the big boys in the PREM remember what happened last winter when the CHAMP Clubs got too big for their boots. Time for some sweet revenge this winter. CHAMP won't even have riders like Leon Flint and Dan Thompson in it let alone Josh Pickering and Zach Cook.
  18. Why would it be a drop? Depending how you want to build a team, you can have a 4.00-4.50 at No7 & it doesn't have to be a Brit. The Premiership should be the pinnacle of British Speedway, not a fast track for the bang average. If young Brits want to reach the top, try averaging 7+ at Championship level first. Rising Stars in the Premiership has been a failure. Don't forget the 25% given to the RS's, if all got re-employed in 2027, it would be an increased to team strength, not a decrease.
  19. Only rumour I heard was Mildenhall to Prem with Mr Brady in charge. 🤷‍♂️. Pure rumour & 2+2 probably making 5
  20. Why don't people put their names to these statements? and why do you even need a petition, speak to spedeworth and pay the man all the money up front like he's (rightly) insisting on and your in business.
  21. But stocks won't be on every Saturday, so a spare few Saturdays every few weeks will probably fit into the speedway fixtures
  22. Just a thought can't see Deane giving up Saturday's for anything else.
  23. In my view there is no chance of Kings Lynn making the play offs, there last chance was Sheffield beating Ipswich away which did not happenn.
  24. Phil Morris mentioned a few weeks ago in the Speedway Star that they had turned down a good offer from Premier Sports to cover this season. I think their subscriber numbers would be too low for that to be worthwhile.
  25. Not yet they ain’t. Ipswich still need two points and with Doyle in town Thursday and the way Ipswich struggled against a depleted Sheffield last night, that isn’t a certainty. The last fixture is Leicester away so likely no points there. It’s possible we stay on 18 points. Lynn have Leicester at home, Northampton away. Difficult to see Lynn getting the bonus against Leicester, but if they win at Northampton the bonus will be theirs and they’ll also finish on 18 if they beat Leicester at home also. Not sure who finishes above who in that scenario, I haven’t looked that closely other than the points on the board Let’s see what happens Thursday.
