Oh yes, Ace too!
Well you are not having Tom back . I just wonder when riders have to change teams that is forced on them, they take a couple of months to settle. Didn't Masters say going to Oxford felt different to what he thought but halfway through last season onwards he felt comfortable in the team.

1 hour ago, szkocjasid said:I agree with ragdoll, think Berwick will be very good at home this year. But that's the point of a forum, differing views.
Glasgow should win there tbh with Complin and Flint in their team! But Berwick will be lots better at home than previous seasons, so can't see too many doing it.
Edit - oh and Harris!! lol

Gilkes not going Championship is a big mistake in my opinion, agree 100% with you .
Is he only doing Prem and that's it? Or riding abroad as well?

There must be SOME races when the opposition pass Poole riders?
Yeah, they are on the stream. If you want watch others pass Poole riders you have to pay for it

H7. Another good race!
Or first couple of laps ...

But it's bad for getting people through the gates
10.99 to stream 4 mates watch together
£20 per heads through the gates
Could kill a track off
They would stop streaming if there was a big effect on the gates though.

The haters said he wouldn't get near to scoring 4 and first meeting too. So I would say that is a win. Only going to get better when used to the track imo.

Remember there is no passing at Poole Few races like this to choose from last night.

Special mention to Killeen who tried all night and battled hard for his points.
Hope he took note someone from BSN was slating him during the winter as well.

Nor me! Good to see the new riders have good meeting too, should settle the nerves for them a bit.
Can't remember the last time I saw Masters leading a race and being passed twice in two races at Poole but then not as slick as last season.

I'd be surprised if it goes ahead with the rain today and some showers possibly in the morning tomorrow!
1 hour ago, Bagpuss said:Oxford are going to be up there this year, I fancy them to run Poole very close at the least in this one.
Yeah expect it to be within 6 points either way if it goes ahead especially as we had to lose 7 points from last season and Oxford pretty much the same! Any sort of win I would be happy with.

But Poole got 28 day facility for that Czech who never rode for us a few years ago, so unless the rules have changed since then, I don't see the problem.

Yep, no filter when it comes to talking about Plymouth!

Birmingham doing well fair play and a big crowd in sounds good. Hopefully hold on for a win.
Yeah exactly my point, thanks. So perfect time to have a meeting against them! Duh. Try reading before attacking, but I know that is asking a lot!!

Not sure the Birmingham riders got the memo about struggling! Although tbh perfect time to ride against Sheffield, they haven't really got going yet.
Also good to read on speedway updates that they have got a big crowd in.

18 minutes ago, szkocjasid said:Some good points made. To reply to @Skidder1 & @Fromafar I realise admission it's not only decided by the amount of points riders score. But if Oxford have weakened (assuming Killeen will be on a lower payrate than Kerr was) that's a saving on last year. Weaker riders must be cheaper, otherwise the Prem, Champ & NL would have the same costs (extreme example I know). So my suggestion would be, if you pay 6 riders the same but replacing a heat leader witb a reserve, should help offset any cost increases?
To reply to @allthegearbutnaeidea & @Toady I totally get your point, but while you make a fair point about fans expecting promoters to absorb their increased costs. I could turn it around & say why do promoters expect fans to absorb the increased costs?
As @Bagpuss suggests there will always be a price that some find acceptable and others don't. It could be going from £19 to £20 maybe not. If all the fans turn up, then it's a good decision. If they get fans picking & choosing matches more due to price increases, could go against them.
Most Championship clubs were charging £20 last season, whereas Poole was £19. So am surprised there is a debate about it (we are just catching up!) Maybe they need the extra pound from everyone to cover costs more.
They said publicly that season tickets have been going really well, so maybe not that much picking and choosing!

Seems to be a lot of individuals. So be interesting to see how they get on especially with team riding. Hopefully Darcy has emphasised it to Tate as he was always really good at that from a young age.

It's a shame the race night has moved in a way as might have been able to get someone like Rew (unless he is doing Sweden this year).

Not when mugging an elderly lady at knife point he doesn't. Have to be absolutely crazy to put him anywhere speedway again imo. Although if he does sign for Plymouth when they are at Poole, the Police station is near the entrance to the stadium, so he won't have far to go if he does anything!

We need Davina McCall when Tai is about to start talking " you are live on (whenever the location is) please DO NOT swear..."

After all, we're all talking about him (again) and that's what he wants. How many of you can remember what everybody else had to say?
I must admit though I do like Jack Holder's style more, he's got the cheeky arrogance, with his finger waving and all that, just a little less X rated.
Exactly! If anyone wants to annoy Tai, just ignore everything he says, he'd hate that! Just don't let him wind you up.

Only the HLs haven't. The rest would have been to Oxford last couple of years in the Championship. The Holder's have watched it at Oxford though when helping Zach occasionally in 2022.

Think it was just based on previous performances (same happened when Lawson came) although more banking on the track now, which I'm sure him and Hagon appreciate!
