frenchy 0 Posted August 7, 2009 Apologies for the daft question (don't really follow this) but why isn't Nicholls in the line-up ? Seems a shame that there's only the one Brit. And £25 quid (30 if you include a programme) seems stupidy high, who decides on these prices (FIM, BSPA, Coventry) ?
Jenn 0 Posted August 7, 2009 Apologies for the daft question (don't really follow this) but why isn't Nicholls in the line-up ? Seems a shame that there's only the one Brit. The short answer is that he didn't go through the qualifying system!! but pleeeease dont get all the Nicholls bashers started!!!

phillipsr 2,060 Posted August 9, 2009 my picks for WC alls depends on final the top 8 standings and what riders that managed a top 3 in the GP challenge. but in my dream world it would look like this: AJ, Lindgren, Bjerre, Nicki & Hans A will manage a top 8 the GPC result would look like this: Hampel Holder Miedzinski an the WC picks: Antonio Lee Richardson Zagar Grigory Laguta I hope Gollob pulls out and Greg Stays. then the 2010 GP roster would look like this: Jason Crump Greg Hancock Emil Sayfutdinov Andreas Jonsson Fredrik Lindgren Kenneth Bjerre Nicki Pedersen Hans Andersen Hampel Holder Miedzinski Antonio Lee Richardson Zagar Grigory Laguta Local WC This looks a real exciting line up but i think there would be more than one brit in the line up to excite cardiff. so ill go for the same line up but with harris as a wild card instead of laguta

Ghostwalker 1,859 Posted August 9, 2009 This looks a real exciting line up but i think there would be more than one brit in the line up to excite cardiff. so ill go for the same line up but with harris as a wild card instead of laguta surely there is no need for 3 british rider at Cardiff? with "My lineup" you'll have one on a permanent WC (lee) + 1 local WC (British champ). I was at the semi final to the Challenge at Davgaupils in july, big crowd (aprox. 7000) and the tickets was £ 6.50 and program only 65p !!!!!! And lots of great speedway!!! iris123 21,092 Posted August 15, 2009 But is there much point in comparing Latvia with GB? You get people complaining about the cost to what is one of the most important meetings in the country.People wonder why there are few FIM meetings. But how many travel abroad to see the same sort of meeting? Then others will rather spend 15 quid on a meaningless meeting like Ippos pairs jobby or some other 'filler' And then you get those that can't be bothered to go to the crappy EL and travel over to see some meeting in Belgium or Outer Mongolia.......but everyone has a choice on where they spend their dough.........speedway fans are weird
foreverblue 6,119 Posted August 18, 2009 But this meeting isnt value for money is it,went to world cup at peterborough 15 quid, elrc 20quid,british gp 29 quid there all better value and the racing at the gp and wc was very good.
MattyHart 0 Posted August 18, 2009 How do you know Coventry won't have good racing?

Value for money?I would put this meeting in terms of ranking inbetween the ELRC and the British GP,so the price looks about right. As for the quality of the racing just look at the post above
